I want to believe in this team and that we'll steal one in Boston, but I'm not going to lie.. it's not going to happen... Boston V. Colorado should be a good series.
Couple things on this series....
1. we look and swing at the wrong pitches!! We look at strikes right down the fucking pipe, and then we go and swing at balls in the dirt the next pitch? Great hitting selection boys..
2. Bench Travis. I know he's atleast a scare in our lineup but he sucks and has sucked all year. 8 strike outs in 9 at bats is awful, and I for one think Shoppach as the catch, Garko as 1B, and Martinez as DH would be a much better lineup.. I seriously wanted to turn the game off when I saw Garko got benched over that worthless T-Haf. Travis has put up so so numbers on the year but the thing is he's hurting our lineup right now, and he needs to sit. He's a gauranteed out at the all but important #3 spot.
3. I have no clue how C.C had the numbers he had? IMO he's not an elite picture whatsoever, and I would go as far and say that Carmona is our ACE not C.C. How can Josh Beckett (who has worse stats than C.C) be so untouchable where as C.C gets bitch slapped all around the playoffs? Horrible outtings so far this playoffs.
4. Grady isn't producing... it's crucial the first batter atleast puts a freakin stick on the ball!! If he's going to either strike out or whatever the hell else he does then give Lofton a chance as leadoff. Besides Grady has better power so why not let Grady hit 7th.
5. WALKS... this is what pisses me the fuck off the most. make them earn every base they get (which is what Byrd/westbrook did) and C.C, and some others can't keep them off the base paths...
I've watched too many damn indians playoff games the past 10 years to realize that I dunno if I'll ever see a series win? Sure I'll watch game 6 and (if necessary game 7) but I sure don't expect to win anymore... For us to win carmona has got to pitch LIGHTS OUT, and I don't see that happening. I do however see us hitting shilling so who the hell knows.. I'm jus so pissed we blew it and have to go back to Boston that I had to let this rant out. Oh yeah have I said Travis Hafner needs to be benched? god he's playing like shit right now..
