Inagural BP golf outing, vbet (merged)

I understand that you're probably going to drop at least $40 to play 18, but most courses give discounts if you have a large group come...and the closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt, etc. is easy to set up. As for food and prizes...who needs them? Or why not just have our own? I'd have an easier time if I knew that some of the $ was going to BP. Count me in, though, if anybody needs a fourth. None of my friends are interested in playing because of the cost. I'm a great scramble golfer, because I always have one really good shot per hole. Of course, I have only one good shot per hole.
To make this clear to everyone when setting up this outing profit was intended to go back to BP. Here's the breakdown.

Cart green fees and use of indoor banquet hall and Dinner $49.00

Each player receives a free sleeve of BP logo golf balls $5.00

Bringing the total to $54.00 each I added on $6 dollars to make it an even $60.00 and all profit was to go back to BP.

In the beginning we had a estimated 20 people with interest in the outing most of whom were bringing foursomes. So I decided to order 60 sleeves of BP logo golf balls to give to each attending player. These were at a cost of $5.00 a piece. So now with out the attendance of everyone that origionally planned on joining us we are stuck with paying for the extra balls that were ordered.

How about putting up the leftover sleeves for sale here at $10 per sleeve? That gets you your $5 back, and anything left after shipping (shouldn't be more than a buck or two) goes to BP. I'm sure there are quite a few golfers amongst our 4,300+ membership.

Good idea Mili. When the outing is over I will put the remaining sleeves up for sale.

My foursome is ready to go, you may all start hiding in fear. :p
Unfortunatly I left my clubs in my mom's van this weekend so I am borrowing my brothers clubs until I go home for the outing in two weeks. At least I'm not the one who needs to play well in this outing.

So as of now it looks like we have between 3 and 5 foursomes? Can we switch it to a tee time outing if we don't fill up enough to have the shotgun start?

***Come on people sign up for this thing. If this outing doesn't work it's going to be even harder to have another in the future.***

When do we need to have the final list ready?

I already switched to a tee time start. We will be going off of #1 and #10 at 11:57am.

I need to have the final list of people before the 12th though given the circumstances I could probally talk them into letting a few more slip in a day or two late.
