In-State Players to Watch

Wide Receiver #2
5'10"
175
40 time: unknown
Mentor High School

Two year starter at Mentor, which is maybe the largest high school in Ohio. Didn't attend any camps, and none of the recruiting services have a profile on him. Week one against (Youngstown) Boardman, 11 catches, 228 yards receiving, 2 TDs. Tonight against St Ignatius, 14 catches, 342 yards, 2 TDs. Also carried the ball 4 times for another 87 yards.

I wouldn't make this stuff up:

Recaps his visit this past weekend. Admits an Ohio State offer would be a game changer in his recruitment & says Ohio State is recruiting him as an athlete.

Has offers from Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Sparty & Pitt, among others.

Through four games, Jason is number one in Ohio and tied for ninth nationally in receiving yards. Six of the players ranked ahead of him have played one more game.
