Impossible Question about Heaven.

Cornerback6

Optimism Lover
I was thinking today...how I always seem to get into major accidents and sports related incidents and what not (in '06 alone: severe concussion, sports hernia, separated collar bone at sternum, broken ribs, broken ear drum, bruised spleen, losss of smell & taste) & got to thinking, if I get married and I die young because of something stupid...would I want my wife to get re-married, and then I said yes. After that, I came up with another perplexing question that has never crossed my mind.

Curious what others think about this. What happens in heaven (assuming you believe in heaven as I do) if a woman marries a man, and he dies (or vice versa) and gets re-married. When all three die, who ends up with who in heaven? Under the assumption also that in heaven you meet up with your passed loved ones...what happens? This thought originated in my last ER visit, but just came to the surface in all of its glory tonight.

What do you think? Maybe some of you fellow hardcore religious types could answer this. As a devout Christian, I still can't say I have a clue.

When we all die IMO from the word of God, we are all brothers and sisters in the Spirit realm, which will be in Heaven. Our bodies will be with out sickness and sin.

The real question is, did all of these injuries occur while incessantly working out?

Actually, only the sports hernia was from excessive work. The other injuries came from a Thanksgiving day football game, a golf cart incident, skateboarding, a job-related accient at the Y...yeah, those 4.

Honestly though...this question. Has anyone else ever thought of this? Military guys maybe?

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Matthew.

22:23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

22:24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

22:25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

22:26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

22:27 And last of all the woman died also.

22:28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven....

22:33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

From Matthew 22:
Marriage at the Resurrection

23That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24"Teacher," they said, "Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for him. 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27Finally, the woman died. 28Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"

29Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31But about the resurrection of the dead?have you not read what God said to you, 32'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'[a]? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

33When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.

(Habanero beat me to it, but I'll leave it to have a couple translations available here)
