I always thought they were a small risk with the intention of giving the human immune system a blueprint for the most deadly of the viruses we come into contact with. A "heads up" to help create antibodies to the stuff we are most likely to come into contact with. Maybe I am way off base here...

Why would you post such a thing unless you were trying to control my mind! I'm on to you, fuckface.Bucky Katt;1115122; said:I fail to see how it is ridiculous and outrageous. Agree or disagree, it is at the very least worthy of some level of discussion.

Keep your ridiculous assertions to yourself. This is a message board for Christ's sake.Bucky Katt;1115133; said:Exactly what are you trying to intimate with that comment?

I believe I would place this vaccine under the TBDBMD (to be determined by my daughter) title. Reason being (taken from your link):
According to the link, the testing is primarily performed in the 16-26 age range. Thus, she'll be of the age to make her own decision. Same would hold true for my wife.
That's incorrect. While a newborn does not yet have a mature immune system, they are protected by the antibodies they receive through the placenta before birth and through their mother's breastmilk after birth. So immunization of newborns against diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, measles, rubella (German measles), mumps, and hemophilus influenza b holds tremendous value.muffler dragon;1115111; said:For those who are not aware, an infant does not produce antibodies for about the first six months of life. Thus, the beginning vaccinations/immunizations hold little to no value.

At a time when fire is raging through the theater, is a decision whether or not to leave the building "worthy of discussion?" That's how I see this whole conversation. It's dangerous, and it bothers the hell out of me.Bucky Katt;1115122; said:I fail to see how it is ridiculous and outrageous. The either argue a position without the personal jabs, or ignore the thread.MaxBuck;1115148; said:At a time when fire is raging through the theater, is a decision whether or not to leave the building "worthy of discussion?" According to the Centers for Disease Control, by the age of 50 more than 80% of American women will have contracted at least one strain of HPV
Why would this quote discourage the vaccine? This means that if you get the vaccine you probably won't be among the 80% that contract HPV...and HPV can lead to cancers. This quote certainly supports the vaccine, showing that an overwhelming majority of women will be infected without the shot...Just saying...
