The future of America...:shake:

In recent weeks at least 4 USC community members have been victimized by e-mail check scams. In each incident the suspect targeted victims who were selling something via the internet. The suspect mailed a check for the item. However, the amount of the check was several hundred dollars more than the purchase price. The suspect made excuses for the excess amount, and asked the victim to wire back all or part of the money. The victim deposited the check into their bank account and immediately wired back the overpayment to the suspect. In each incident the victim was later notified by the bank that the check was fraudulent.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for people THIS stupid. :bonk:

The fraudster is too stupid to notice that Americans mark the decimal place with a "full stop", i.e., period. In many European countries it is marked with a comma as in one dollar = $1,00.

Scammers

Our good buddies overseas pound our Agency with these type of e-mail. They look to try and get autographed photos to sell on e-bay.

Yeah, at first I thought it was too good to be true. Then, I noticed that it was a joint venture between the United Nations Organization (UNO) and the European Union (EU). So I know it's legit. Besides, they must've found out that I didn't attend college, so when I saw that this thing was was conceived with the objective of human growth,educational and community development, I knew it was for people like me.

Now that we're rich, I am going to give my kegerator to a homeless shelter, I have decided instead to get a big freezer and a drill. The plan from here on out is to just drill a hole in kegs, pop in a straw and drink, that way I can consume 15 gallons of beer a night (I heard a doctor someplace say that beer was healthy) and not have to go refill... The only issue I have encountered is going to piss, but I am thinking about putting a 60 inch television in the bathroom as well as my computer and just living there... or maybe just making a recliner toilet with a huge cup holder.
