This is brilliant work. In one point he says that they'll go either 11-2, undefeated, or win 8-9 games. Down the thread he calls 50-70 sacks.NFBuck;2210139; said:

I've watched Alabama, probably more than anybody on this board who doesn't live in the south. My grandmother is from Tuscaloosa so they have always been a school I was interested in even before I started getting into football. Alabama is now a powerhouse of the USC mid 2000's level (Not better offensively but definitely better defensively). I know all of this...I'm still saying I think the Illini can beat them THIS year.

Illinois remaining schedule:
Charleston Southern
Louisiana Tech
Penn State
@ Wisconsin
@ Michigan
Indiana
@ Ohio State
Minnesota
Purdue
@ Northwestern
Should be a win this week. Then the question is can they score enough points to stay with La Tech? Let's say they do, although I think it's far from a given. Should be able to beat PSU, as should everyone else in a BCS conference. Despite their struggles, I still don't see a win in Madison or Ann Arbor. That would put them at 4-3 coming home for Indiana. Let's call that a win to move to 5-3. Then comes at OSU. 5-4. Then they return home to play a Minnesota team that spanked them at TCF Stadium last year, followed by what might be Danny Hope's best chance at a winner in Purdue, and finishing with a Northwestern team on the road that will be looking to avenge a 38-35 loss in Champaign last year.
If they win 8 games it's because Scheelhaase stays healthy (he is questionable for this weekend but supposedly could have played in an "emergency" last weekend), the defense improves dramatically, and the Illini play well at home. Even if they win all six home games, that's only seven wins. They need to steal one on the road at either Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State or Northwestern. I don't see that happening.
which is only slightly funny by itself. don't worry, though. he follows that up withThaKid101 said:Illini - 35
LA Tech - 7-10 (And that might be generous)
one problem with that dash of homerism.ThaKid101 said:The funny thing here is people keep pointing to the ASU game. The ASU game wasn't nearly as bad as the score indicates. They were only down 14-0 at halftime and scored in the 3rd quarter, but they started playing more and more reserves/freshmen as the game went on. It's just funny. Also funny to see people saying they can't outscore them. I can't wait until tonight.UIfan1973 said:ASU game revisited. La. Tech 45 Illini 20.

the natives make fun of him throughout the game....he finishes the thread up with this.ThaKid101 said:I don't know why I keep thinking it was half time (That game was very long). It was the second quarter and they were down 14-0 before they scored to make it 14-7. The point remains though they were in it until turnovers and reserves started factoring into the equation. And the game was no doubt a positive for the young guys who got reps. Tonight will be proof of that.
ThaKid101 said:Now that was a little funny I'll admit. If people can't see how this game actually got like this, then that's on them. I'm still excited and optimistic about this team and this era of coaching.

It's even more funny that people think kids from the South don't REALLY like the Illini. I know players from Miami, Detroit, DC, Texas, Alabama, etc. and that couldn't be further from the truth. But people will continue to talk like they actually know what they're talking about...carry on.
How's that mighty Oklahoma team you were touting so much in the beginning doing? Barely gets by UTEP (The same UTEP who just gave Wisconsin a game too) and lost to KSU. Are you going to admit you were wrong that they're really the #4 team in the country? I think not.

My suggestion is you give up on the futility of such an adventure and realize he really knows NOTHING.
To say we did not get dominated in a game that was 52-17 at one point and that anyone who thinks so does not know football ... wow ... just wow!
And then to make stuff up such as Irvin getting cut from COD ...
I wish the mods would recognize that he is a troll trying to stir things up and give him to permaban.
