We're 25-2, going on 26-2. Only San Diego State has a better record. Not Kansas. Not Duke.

Maybe there aren't any "great" teams in college basketball this year? But the list above us, if any, is pretty damn short.

BTW, we're up by 15 with 3 minutes left...

I could have made my list looks even worse by referencing: 4 pt win over scUM, 3 pt win over Minny, 5 pt win over Iowa, 3 pt win over PSU.

I agree, I don't think there is a great team this year, but a bunch of really good ones.

I'm late to the thread as I've been focusing on the game. There sure is a lot of negativism here. You'd think the team was 2-26 instead of working on 26-2.

I, for one think it's pretty impressive that the Buckeyes have held a pretty solid lead most of the game despite the fact that Illinois has been unconscious from the 3 point line for the entire game. Lighty seems to be out of the mini-slump he was in for a couple of games and Sullinger and Craft are being Sullinger and Craft.

:oh:

You could make any list you like, and 26-2 is still 26-2.

Anyone who says they expected that record at this point is a liar. To sit here griping about margin of victory is pretty damn silly.

Ya, one minute is going to make a difference. :roll1:

With that said it was good to see Smith get a few points and rebounds at the end of the game.
The point is that it reflects Matta's lack of awareness of the need for rest. He's not only unwilling to rest his players during the game, he won't even let them rest when the game is out of reach!

Come tournament time he'll wish he'd have taken advantage of those minutes here and there.

Not griping at all, thought this was a basketball forum - to have basketball discussions with people who has different opinions?

We haven't had this high of an offensive score since Jan 25th over Purdue.

Good job Bucks. Hopefully this dubya boosts needed morale.

I haven't seen any indication that the team's morale needed boosting.

What I have seen are some the-sky-is-falling fans overreacting to two losses against good teams in places where opponents rarely win, or griping about margin of victory.

I do hope those fans are pacified by a 19 point win, but looking at this thread I suspect it still isn't good enough for some folks. Such is life.

Four of our players are going to have to be ready to go 40 every night in the tournament..I want them ready to go 40 and learn how to pace themselves during the game..Diebs Buford and Lighty know how to do it..Sully is still learning..
