Looks like I'm definitely in the wrong place folks. I thought this was like most of the other team message boards I've been a part of, where critical thinking is encouraged and forms the basis for discussion.

Enjoy your cult! :)

Yes, it is a cult like environment where everyone who is posting in this thread agrees with each other 100%. :roll1:

I would like to know your definition of "critical thinking". Just because you "criticize" does not mean you are thinking "critically".

I hear the ESPN boards are good, and much easier to navigate. Have fun!!

Really good performance by the Buckeyes - it's games like this that are why people should believe that this team can make a Final Four run. Would've liked to have seen Thomas get a few more minutes the second half.

The entire rotation/depth/fatigue argument that keeps coming up in college basketball is absurd. Teams such as UCLA, as mentioned by Dakich, and Duke, mentioned by Dickie V, have been winning championships for the last 50 years playing 6 or 7 guys.

These are 18-22 year olds being asked to play two games a week.

Between high school and AAU they probably played 80+ games a year and have been doing it for the last three to four years straight. Hell, some tournaments they might have played two or more games in one day. It just is not that big of a deal.

Lack of depth if somebody gets in early foul trouble is a problem. Running for 40 minutes twice in three days is not.

I've heard bucknuts and the free scout boards are offering great free information! Bai

It's not so much the lack of depth as it is a lack of "stealing" some rest for your starters. IMO, they have not done a good job of this as the season has worn on.

I'm not worried that much about lack of depth though Sully seems to be wearing down a bit as he's been sucking more wind in the last few games but I think that's more indicative of how he is being played. I'm far more worried about the fact that our defense has looked pretty porous of late and the trend that they are letting the other teams get away with more and more beating up Sully inside as the season wears on.

I could have made my list looks even worse by referencing: 4 pt win over scUM, 3 pt win over Minny, 5 pt win over Iowa, 3 pt win over PSU.

...and then there's this:

Texas: 6 pt OT win against Illinois (yep, the same Illinois team OSU blasted by 19 last night), 3 pt win against Rice, 17 point LOSS at USC (yep, the same USC with a 15-12 record)

Kansas: 4 pt win against Colorado, 3 pt win against Nebraska, 5 pt win against Iowa St., 7 pt OT win against UM, 2 pt win against USC, 1 pt win against UCLA,

Duke: 7 pt win against Maryland, 5 pt win over Michigan St., 5 pt win over Marquette, LOSS at FSU

Pitt: 3 pt win over Rutgers, 8 pt win over Marquette, 4 pt win over Providence, LOSS against Tennessee

We could do this all day.

Quite ironic that when I used facts and numbers for my case you were quick to shoot it down and then bash my thoughts in your post to follow. Now you are using numbers and expect me to be like "ok, wow, he used numbers, he MUST be correct." ?

I used our overall won/loss record, which happens to be the best in the country this academic year. You used our margin of victory as a critique of our record. If you think one set of "numbers" is equivalent to the other you're a prime candidate to be the poster child for the spoiled OSU fan.

Problem is man, you don't have patience. If someone's thoughts dont mirror yours, you have to make your case known again and bash the other case. All that does is make you look kind of childish.

Whining about not winning by enough points when the team is 26-2 is what is childish. I'd hate to see your reaction if the team was 16-12, but I suspect we wouldn't even be having this conversation because such a record would probably be too much for you to bear.

Again, 38-3 in football/basketball in 2010/11. No one else in the NCAA can match that record. Save the complaints for a time when there is a legitimate reason to complain, or realize some posters will take your criticisms to task. Either way works for me.
