Thad Matta has rarely had a team that went more than 7 deep yet he wins year after year. Suddenly it's an issue?

They're "gassed", they look "gassed", "Thad made the same mistake last year"

:roll1:

Some of you have been listening to the announcers too much lately. We lost two road games to very good teams who almost never lose at home.

We're not going to blow out everyone by 30 points. No one else does, either.

No the team looks gassed when Illinois runs it back and Sully is trotting to the basket still and the perimeter is wide open for Illinois to shoot it from. Its quite evident they are tired. Were getting out hustled to the rim man.

You are correct, we aren't gonna blow teams out but our last 6 games have been:

1 point win over NORTHWESTERN
9 point win over scUM
13 point win over Minny
10 point win over scUM State
2 Losses

Our win margin in all of Big Ten play has not been indicative of a "great" team.

Matta just doesn't seem willing to allow players like Sibert to develop so they can be part of the rotation. It's as if he plays every game like it's the National Championship.

Sometimes you have to sit your good players and chalk it up to helping them play better when they ARE in there.
