Obvious comparison here but his film is very reminiscent of Demetrius Jones (ND commit from Illinois from the '07 class I believe). Great athlete and definetely one to keep an eye on. Needs work as a passer but I'm hoping he will camp at OSU.

I really like this offer. I think Bailey can play QB but is certainly versatile enough to play other spots. This offer should put OSU way out in front...

Your earlier Demetrius Jones comparison is apt here. There were a lot of scouts that thought Jones could have been an All-American WR, but he insisted on playing QB. You see how that worked out for him...

Let's hope Aaron is open to giving WR a shot if that's where we feel he's best suited to play.

When Jones committed to ND, Lemming stated "the only question is whether he becomes the next Donavan McNabb or Randy Moss".

Massive hyperbole.

I saw a very overrated athlete who wasn't a very good QB and simply not fast enough for WR.
I believe he ended his career as a backup LB at UC.

My hope is that Baily is more explosive.

He never gave WR a shot. He had the size and speed to be very good there. Don't let your dislike for Lemming cloud what was there. Lemming's opinion was shared by college coaches all around the country. No way they put it in as strong of terms, but most felt Jones would excel greatly at WR. He got fat and out of shape after leaving ND and that's why he ended up a LB. Out of HS though, he was very explosive.

Bailey obviously is a completely different person, but it's a very good comparison.

I definitely like him better at qb and not WR. he has good speed and burst but I have definitely seen better shake. My only surprise with this offer is he does seem to step out without much encouragement. Love to have the kid, but the offer is suprising to me.

Think of it as a place holder establishing Urb's interest. If the kid camps and shows he can throw/suit up at another position in an elite manner, the offer will become commitable.
