2024 IL DL Justin Scott (Ohio State Decommit, Miami, FL Verbal)

Where the eff do they get all the money for kids? Seriously we have got to have more than them right?

How does Miami just keep doing this?
Honestly Miami does have more NIL money than OSU. OH businesses haven’t been as willing to spend like the teams in the south. Birm has said as much. It’s the crappy part of NIL with no rules. Miami missed on a bunch of DT commits, and went all in to Scott with an offer OSU won’t match.

LOL…

Anyone watching that train wreck of a program and wanting to be apart of that?

All about the money.

Can’t blame him but oh well. The DL classes these last few cycles is pretty darn concerning.

Feels a lot like the trend we saw in OL a few years ago.

That turned out just fine. I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.

Trust the coaches.

Isn’t this the kid who went with OSU because LJsr didn’t swear?

I won’t fault a kid for doing what is best for his situation.

I can’t imagine what these college coaches deal with when it comes to 16-18 year old males and the new world of recruiting in NIL.

Well, odds are good we won’t ever worry about playing them in a NC during his time there. Otherwise, good luck to him.

The kid said that the U coaches had not given up on him and have been recruiting him hard throughout. Probably NIL, but like most things in life, it's never one thing and is probably more complicated than we would like it to be.

I was looking for only one thing from him, which was to destroy Scum and give us a shot against UGA. Darn it! We came so close to a SEC quality D.

Bad take. Stud would've never landed Scott and Houston, and definitely wouldn't be able to flip talents like Williams and Jones!
My take is from the having a allegedly LJ now difficult time traveling hard for recruits, and keeping up with the new recruiting styles. He isn't landing them like he used to. NIL has to do with it, but he is slowing down and teams are negative recruiting based on that.

Agreed osuvictory1. But doesn't tOSU have a corporate jet that could help LJjr make these trips? But there's nothing that can compete with the huge amounts of money NILs can through at HS kids. I mean, who can contemplate $1million/year coming out of HS! Crazy stupid, and A&M has proven it doesn't work....or does Cryami believe it's smarter? Guess we'll see....

I know previously Ohio State under Urban Meyer used Netjets for their private jet needs.
