My daughter's birthday is this weekend, so I will be at Chucky Cheeses growling about missing the game, in SOUTH BEND, wear my OSU jersey, Woody cap, and praying my VCR doesn't crap out on me, and tapes the game.

Let's get some bushes to put on either side of the field.

Let's paint checkerboards in the end zones.

Let's do Jump Around at the start of the 2nd quarter.

Let's make up a hokey paper-mache trophy that the winner of this game can keep each year.

Let's get a miniature covered wagon that can chase a buffalo and a guy on a horse (with a sword AND a spear) around the field every time we score.

Let's get a giant bass drum.

Let's do a giant bonfire the night before the game.

Let's have wicked hot chicks in cowboy hats primp for the cameras. (hmmmmm)...



Or we could just be Buckeyes.

DBB couldn't have said it better. I love the fact that we're getting extra pumped up about this game, but we could have done something original.

I didn't know Penn St. created the idea of a student section wearing the same color. Hmmmmm, I wonder what else those geniuses created in Happy Valley.

Whether they invented it or not is irrelevant, 'red out' is an obvious ripoff of 'white out' from last year's PSU matchup.

And not showing up at the game at all would be ripping off Indiana...

The whole point of the white out at Penn State was a "special occasion." They did it because it was a huge game for them, plain and simple.

What is this Penn State game to OSU? It's simply another game in between OSU and the National Title we're all hoping for. But, it's not the biggest game of the year, and it's certainly not some kind of highly ranked clash of the titans. It's important, as each game needs to be taken seriously. But, it's not a "special" game.

Doing the Sea of Scarlet, again as something different than the typical sea we see every Saturday, just strikes me as ridiculous on multiple levels for a game like this. If PSU hadn't "whited out" last year, this idea wouldn't even exist for this game. I'm not in to some sort of fan based one-upsmanship payback. I just want to see the buckeyes kick some nittany ass.
