1a) Go to class.
1b) Don't schedule class before 9:30 unless you have to.
1c) Don't schedule class after 2:30 during spring quarter unless you have to.

2) Meet as many people as you can, get involved in intramurals, or at least one student club that interests you.

3) If you're going to move off campus for sophomore year, start looking in December if at all possible, no later than early January.

4) Hit up the Oval the first nice weather day of winter/spring.

5) If you don't like your major, don't wait until your 4th year to change it.

What are you gonna major in?

Tip: There are no subscriptions for the Lantern (the university newspaper) as the paper is free so if an enterprising upper classman tries to sell you one........

Congrats and welcome to the family.....:)

2)...but don't spend ALL your time studying
3) If you're from Ohio, don't limit your social life to the kids from your h.s.

Congrats!

To add to #2 and #3 above- Don't go home for the weekend until Thanksgiving break, even if there's not a game on Saturday.

Trust me, the earlier you choose to fully invest in the University experience (rather than hanging out with friends and family at home), the better your time will be.

Plus, you don't really need to do laundry in college- Mom loves it when you hand her a huge pile on Turkey Day.

All good advice here.

Have you done a college visit yet? If not do it, and make sure you bring your parents. My parents were not to sure about Ohio State until they came with me on a visit and it really turned them around to some of the fears that they had.

Don't follow is Bleed S & G's footsteps.

Go to class, yeah, yeah, yeah. Go to the GAMES and don't try and use your fake ID to buy beer on game day. The SWAT team pulls the riot vans onto campus and books your ass right there.
