Well at least the Sierra's are close!96 degrees with a 75 degree dewpoint. I'd rather deal with -10 than this shit.

No. That's Chicago. I don't think Reno has ever seen a 75 degree dewpoint in its history. It shows Reno because that's my other saved city. 96 degrees in Reno would actually be somewhat comfortable and you'd be able to turn off the air and open the windows when the sun went down and the temp dropped into the 60s.Well at least the Sierra's are close!
That makes more sense. Humidity that high in the high desert seemed odd...but these days nothing is surprising.No. That's Chicago. Shit's about to get real here. No red but it's supposedly dropping between 1-2 inches of rain in a short time and it's heading my way

I've been in the desert for about a year and a half now, and it still is comical to me to hear people talk about 2" of rainfall as if that's a lot.
I've been in West Texas for a little over a year and a half now.
and it's still amazes me how little rain is considered "a lot" out here, and just how little it takes to flood things.
so damn drastic from one of (typically #1 or #2) rainiest cities in America to a damn desert.
this sandbox I'm currently residing in has gotten less than 4" of rain so far on the year.
back home, we got 8.5" in January.
and again in March
got over 10" in July
April, May, and June each had between 6" - 7.5"
Odessa, TX
Phoenix, AZ
Columbus, OH
have all combined for a little under 32" on the year.
Montegut, LA is just over 52" on the year.
Send some this way, we've had a weak monsoon season, just one good soaker and a few pissers6” of rain here in last 48 hours
just over 7” since Friday.
needless to say, the desert is flooding
We could use some of that precipitated here in Quahog.View attachment 45793
I’m not saying Mother Nature hates LA, but she seems to have a strong dislike toward the state. Of course, this is a projection for a week out so who knows what could happen.
