Yeah, that was the one. Internet says it was only 2 feet but I swear it was more than that.
when I lived in Anchorage Alaska the paper would always report the snow fall totals from the airport which is in extreme west Anchorage by the inlet but in East Anchorage where I lived we always got twice as much if not three times as much than the airport. There's a mountain range that runs north and south called the Chugach range.

Well, the big "Snowpocalypse" is winding down in my area ( but still going strong to the southeast of us) looks like we we will end up with about a foot in my neck of the woods with higher totals in other areas. It took longer for the rain to change over to snow yesterday morning than expected, but has been pretty steady snow since about 10 am yesterday morning. Not the 20+ inches they said was possible, but still a hefty snowfall.

When I lived in the snowy part of the world whenever they called for a foot we'd get a dusting, then they'd call for flurries and we'd get a foot. When it comes to forecasting weather I believe it when I see it
