The Ute Park Fire is causing the evacuation of Cimmaron NM and I would imagine the Philmont Scout Ranch south of Cimmaron.

Hot and dry right now but thunderstorms are in tomorrows forecast. Good and bad. Rain is badly needed but lightning could trigger more fires.

It sounds like the Philmont Scout Ranch took a big hit from the wildfire. Mostly contained now. But much smoke still lingering and bad air quality.

oppressively hot.
yesterday we had our third guy go down this summer with heat related issues. this one ignored most of the warning signs and is currently in hospital.
doesn’t appear to have any permanent damages to his organs, but he pushed his luck.
the shit just completely drains you. but we’re programmed to just keep going and going until the job is done. can’t keep going like that gotta stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat regularly.
