“We think a tornado did touch down. Fortunately, everybody is OK,” said Don Walters, public information officer for Grove City.

Did not know chasers like Timmer bothered with Ohio. They always seem to be out west. Wicked looking cloud.

BTW, after all that, we're supposed to get snow again in the next hour, and snow one night this weekend.

Oh, and fun fact about where I live in Hilliard (minutes from Grove City): We don't have basements here.

We ever take a direct hit from a tornado, and the death toll will be national news. We're toast.

Bold is absolutely untrue. My aunt has lived in Hilliard for 30+ years (still does). 4 different houses. All of them had basements.

I didn't say every single person in Hilliard. I said "where I live in Hilliard."

Then you need to be more descriptive in your details. The way you posted it sounded like you were referencing Hilliard as a whole.

"Oh, and fun fact about where I live in Hilliard (minutes from Grove City)" Hilliard as a whole is minutes from Grove City, so the statement can be read as the whole city, or just an area.

"Oh, and fun fact about the area of Hilliard where I live (minutes from Grove City)" This states a particular area in Hilliard and can not be taken as the whole city.

Makes a huge difference to the reader.
