EF0 tornado confirmed to have hit Lancaster in the River Valley Mall parking lot on Christmas Eve ~5:30pm. This is about a half-mile from my house. Wife and I were in our three season room to watch the thunderstorm roll in when the wind picked up and the rain came in sideways from the south-west (wind never blows in from the south on our property). Visibility dropped to zero and we could catch glimpses of the transformer on the primary power lines in the neighbors yard spark. Lights flickered for a few moments then the power went out. Kids came running out into the three season room terrified once the lights went out, as I begin to realize these winds are really extreme and am trying to run my wife inside before the 63" awning windows all around the room start popping. Was intense. Looks like the funnel didn't last but a few dozen yards, but it would have been on a direct line to our home.

No damage to our property other than not having power from early evening Christmas Eve until around 4:00pm Christmas Day, which made the gift of a PS4 for my step-son the most cruel practical joke ever. Damn, was he ever pissed off. lol

We were on 270 just south of the 270/33 interchange when we drove through the storm. The sky was definitely turning a greenish color but the funnel wasn't showing up yet. Can't say I'm surprised.

Ripped off again (if you're a snow fan). Stupid forecast, over the period of a couple days, went from a max 8 to 10 inches to today's maybe-an-inch with rain all afternoon.

It's like being promised a Playstation for Christmas, then ending up with socks.

This was the worst set of predictions I think I've ever seen. Within a 48 hour period from Thursday morning into Saturday morning, the rain/snow line prediction went from just south of the Ohio river to north of Columbus. Now that same line is almost up to Lake Erie. For the models they use to perform that badly just shows you how much of a guess anything beyond a 24 hour weather forecast really is anymore....
