Lived in Akron for a few years. God bless anyone who can handle that lake effect weather! Miserable in the summer and bone chilling in the winter. It makes even New England seem nice by comparison. :tongue2:

Gonna be a great day for the Super Bowl down here. Mostly sunny. High of 78. Can't wait to be kicking back at my buddy's house out by the pool watching the 60" with a glass of single malt in one hand and a Romeo and Juliet in the other. :)

You have to find the sweet spot. Chicago is wicked like Akron, as is anything in Grand Rapids or north of there.

Summers in SW Michigan are glorious, and proper plowing make the winter roads much more driveable than Columbus. Of course, they turn into war-torn paths by spring, so there's a tradeoff :)

Gonna camp out Saturday. Sunny day all day with no cloud cover to warm it up at night. Will be 39 Saturday at 10:00 a.m. when we get there. We'll hike about two miles and set up camp and go over maps and compass training. By mid afternoon it will be real nice in the mid 50s when we have a little two mile hike using the map and compass.

Once the sun goes down it will drop pretty quick, and it should be about freezing (32-34 is the forecast) at sunup Sunday morning...assuming they do not expire from marshmallow immolation injuries. Nothing my ancient inflexible back likes better than to sleep on the ground when it's freezing. :tibor:

Any of the little bastards get between me and my morning coffee on a morning like that and they'll lose a limb. :pissed:
