Oh goody,I'm just chomping at the bit here! It stormed real bad this morning.
I have an 18 year old dog that if she sees the lightening I'm done! I leave the lights on.
Our other dog,I was to the point of injecting him with valium.
He was a shepard/doberman mix too big to be that scared as he got older.
He is no longer with us,he was put to sleep at Ohio State on 3/19/01 almost 5 years ago from cancer. He was a success for over a year with O.S.U.!
He did very well with their program. The lung tumor was removed & never came back but he also had lymphosarcoma which only goes into remission. That was 3 times & then it was over!
It is raining & getting weird out as we speak. Supposed to be 40 on Tuesday.

We are in a severe drought. Any moisture is very, very welcome.
Snow out west is a lot dryer than that Ohio/Penn stuff. A lot nicer.
And I have a $450 ski pass I want to make use of.:tongue2:

Taos Ski Valley Report
Comments: Winter has finally arrived!!! The storm unleashed over 43 inches of snow and another storm is on the way. We expect to open new terrain after avalanche work is completed. 100% of the beginner and intermediate runs are open with excellent conditions and coverage on over 1000 acres of skiable terrain for a total of 2850 vertical feet. For the expert skiers, both the Highline and West Basin Ridges are open from Juarez to Fifth Chute. The front side steeps (Inferno, Spencer’s, Snakedance, Upper Al’s, Blitz, Reforma, Blitz Trees) are open on a rotating basis. This will change after the storm passes and the ski patrol is able to assess the snow pack. The terrain park will re-open after the storm passes and we can dig it out, we have redesigned the park with a new sound system, big airs, butter boxes and jibbing rails plus The Wall.

We are actually under in water here by half an inch or so. So believe it or not we do need rain. I know where I board my horse the main paddock & arena is bone dry,which normally you are wearing boots to be able to walk down there. Very odd to be that dry right now.
I'm sure 7 Springs is hurting,that is where I used to ski non stop. My friend was assistant racing coach up there,sure was fun. I miss those days.
I kept all of my ski equipment.
We will eventually be moving near Grand Junction,Colorado I bet within the next 4 years or so.:wink2:

It was in the 70s in Philly all weekend. It rained yesterday, but it felt great to be able to walk outside with no coat.

Taos, my friend in Durango got hammered with snow as well. She was snowshoeing in the mountains all weekend!
