Not to sound like a downer but right now OSU can probably match LSU talent for talent but LSU's talent is far more matured and battle tested (especially this year). I truely believe it will be the coaches who decide this game. My guess is Les Miles will gamble and Jim Tressel will just play borederline conservative (although not ultra conservative).
I am not trying to be a downer, I have seen both play, LSU has been in prime-time a few times this year, they have a TON of playmakers. Before the Illinois team I might have had a different thought, but I think LSU has the most talent in a position that counts, they have the better quarterback.
But, Coaching, I am going to give a huge advantage to us. Look, we don't take chances were they aren't needed, we'll play for the tie and expect them to try for the win instead.
If Miles just uses his playmakers and plays a conservative game, they could run away with this game, but I don't think that's in him, he likes to be flashy and show off. Seeing LSU's two losses, can you say either team was better? had more talent? no, if Miles doesn't try to show off they win both of those games. Kentucky, why not run more? Arkansas, why not play a traditional defense and not fall for all the gimmick plays thrown at them?
LSU has the best talent in the country, it hurts me to say, but if they play wood/bo style football they will win. Can Miles do that is the question.
