How Strong is Civilized Society?

Something tells me I'd been some bad place and Gatorubet and Taosman would be drinking wine at some dinner party talking about how aware they are of the issue. I would knock on the glass patio window for help and their plebeian friends would chase me off. Then everyone would go back to patting themselves on the back about how aware they are about isusses.

Man I loved that scene in Ghostbusters!

I've seen to many country club liberals. The same folks with V8 BMW 7 Series that complain about global warming and roll back to their 5,000 square foot houses in Dublin. A trip to Vegas, Europe and skiing Park City all on a jet they'll hit me up at a dinner party telling me how bad global warming is and how we need to be more aware.

Dublin is mostly Republican.
Huh, who knew? Maybe it just feels creepier than that
When I lived in Dublin... it was definetly more Republican... maybe that was just the Coffman side of the river though.

Your leaving decimated the tax-base and forced people to switch sides so they could get a little more action...

It's "patrician", not plebeian.

If you're going to try to insult me, get it right.:slappy:

Shit, Dayton, almost everybody who posts here would run you off if you knocked on their patio door at night...don't make into a class thing.:tongue2:

You got me, I'm a failure of American's school system when it comes to Latin.

Yes most people would probably run me off as some of kind of fool in a drug crazed frenzy.

Dublin I'm sure has plenty of Republicans but I know many country club liberals there. The type that have a 5,000 square foot house, take 4-5 long range airplane fights a year and then complaining about global warming when the snow isn't to their suiting in Park City. They also enjoy Volvic water because it is from France and buy flown in food at Smith and Wollenskys. Despite flying often, buying goods transported from around the world and having a big house they think they've made up for their environmental transgressions by owning Hybrid Toyota Highlander and being "aware."

Getting back on topic - I believe civilized society is based on one idea - that there are enough of the essential raw materials to support life for everyone. Take that away, and its every man for himself. Test of overpopulation for almost every species of animals has shown this. I dont think humans are any different.
