Can't let it go to long or the drifts get more than the plow can handle and then I have to move snow with the loader. Takes a lot longer BRRRRRRRRR.

Ohio State Cancels Classes; Franklin County Under Snow Emergency


Ohio State University canceled classes on Tuesday afternoon because of a winter storm that has dumped several inches of snow in Columbus.
University administrators said that classes would be canceled beginning at 1:30 p.m.
All non-essential personnel were being asked to be released from the campus, according to a press release issued by the university.
The university also canceled all evening activities.

I get screwed over again.

I am down in athens where it is raining now. Before this year, I lived in Columbus and would always get screwed over by storms missing us. Now I leave, and my old house is already at 7' inches.:(

I have 3 trucks
77 Dodge Power wagon (locking all wheel drive) to feed in the pasture field. No plow
85 Chevy 4 wheel drive. This is to carry split wood from the woods.
97 GMC Diesel Dually. This is to pull the goose neck horse trailer.

The plow is on the 2006 Case/Farmal 55 horse turbo diesel 4 wheel drive tractor. My newest toy. Has a loader in front with a quick release to switch back and forth from fork lift to loader with two levers. Cool.

I'm a farm boy can ya tell!

I will take pictures as I think it looks really cool when I get it piled up along the drive.
I have 4 little girls at home and they like to sit on the snow piles and get their pictures taken.
Since my drive has some hills on the sides of the drive I will have drifts 4-5 feet when it snows like this.
I will take some pictures when it isn't blowing so hard. It is kind of a white out condition right now.

Especially since they are only 10, 11, 12 and 16.
They create more work than the help with. :biggrin:
Off course when the weather is like this it is way to cold to help feed horses but it has no impact on staying out all day playing in the snow. Go figure?

6" of dandruff out here in the windy city...I'm witnessing two box trucks not being able to move through the street, blocking traffic in both directions...kind of funny. I'm expecting a comment from this, either from Buckyle or BigBallin or anyone else who followed the thread of that poor girl who was looking for love...greenies to the first one who replies to what I have in mind...

It's freezing rain now. :( There was what looks to be about four or five inches of snow overnight. There is already about a half inch layer of solid ice down. I can hear it hitting the ground, and my doors are shut.

That's worse than snow.

I have lost my battle for the time being. My lane is drifted over and It's too damn cold to fight it.

SO how much snow has Co-bus gotten?
