The next two weeks are going to suck with the sequestration coming up. Everyone is going to be trying to get their projects done before we hit March 1st. It's going to be very busy I'm afraid.....

Also, trannies? :lol:

days like this are why I like being in the oilfield.

3 hour lunch.
free beer
fired seafood (fish, alligator, frog legs)
jambalaya

now we get to kill the last 3 hours leaning back with my feet on my desk.

all while getting paid just like a regular day.

Pager went off.

Never good when the compliance manager's pager goes off.

Fortunately, in this case, it was just confusion, and not a major fuckup.

I hate having that "what the hell were you thinking?" talk with people... especially when they majorly outrank me. And my boss. And her boss.

Time for me to GTFO of the gym 'scene'. Too many people in administration that seem to have trouble spelling their own names. Work/Life balance has been non-existent. I do 97% of my posting from my Iphone. I've watched a good portion of OSU football from said phone as well. Pay structure isn't that great. I have very little say in the hiring of our trainer's, which is sad (to me) because half of them shouldn't be employed here, let alone in this field. Our regional GM is a walking sexual-harassment lawsuit just waiting to happen. The internal and proprietary systems are nothing short of archaic.

Bitchy clientele. I'm sorry, its nobody's job to motivate your fatass. You're obese, that should be enough right there. Nevermind the fact you can't follow a simple (and loose) nutrition outline.

Time to take my talents elsewhere...

I go into the office complex on my day off for what I thought was going to be a typical "meet and greet" with one of the creative folks in our massive department and I end up with a pleasantly unexpected result; becoming a contributor to our internal image database! Plus, the person I met with has done freelance work with Walt Disney Imagineering and wants to pass on some contacts to me once I work on setting up a more serious web presence/portfolio for my photography. I love having a manager that not only has the contacts to get me meeting with people like this, but that believes in what I do at work and beyond, and pushes me to be better at it and open doors I didn't imagine were within reach.

Really not happy right now, surprise right. Company wants me on-site at clients for 9 days which coincides with my 25th wedding anniversary and Easter.

I really feel like if I were to say no, I would lose my job and even though I have brought all of this up there seems to be no caring whatsoever and no offer of anyway to compensate me for this.

I am sick and tired of working for shit companies. I hear and read all about these companies with great corporate culture and I sure would like to find one to work for one of these days before they put me out to pasture.
