How does work make you feel today?

Man I should of walked out....:shake:

I have had 2 very good friends quit in the last few months..and as I stipulated a few pages back the firm fired 18 people. Performance on certain teams is still unacceptable, and most feel that management will be forced to cut further or restructure completely. It is so sad to see a company which was such a great work place and dominant market player come to this...so [censored]ing sad, how certain individuals made poor decisions and have strangled the profitable teams.

Wow. I used to work on Wall St on a bond desk, and I cant believe they're trying to move you from Euro bonds to equities. From my experience at most firms, they might as well move you to the cafeteria. Thats a huge demotion. If I were you, Id seriously think about going elsewhere.

If its any consolation to you, my former firm went under in 2008, so I dont have to mention it here. What chaps my butt a bit is how much I loved the place and how poorly its reflected by history now. Was by a country mile the best job and firm Ive ever worked for. Just a shame how things work out sometimes.

Getting promoted within two weeks and they're paying for a four day trip to California in a couple weeks. I'll be getting paid on the trip too. Work has been awesome. I love my job. I don't make the most, but being happy is worth more than money.

ok so I didn't work today, but in general work has been going fine. I've found my niche at work lately and while I'm still on the 3PM to midnight shift, I'm really starting to integrate myself with our operations and am being relied upon again like I was at Wright Patterson.

The thing is I may have screwed up and will be promoted to full shift lead. Long days ahead :)

?I believe that the biggest mistake that most people make when it comes to their retirement is they do not plan for it. They take the same route as Alice in the story from ?Alice in Wonderland,? in which the cat tells Alice that surely she will get somewhere as long as she walks long enough. It may not be exactly where you wanted to get to, but you certainly get somewhere.?
