How does work make you feel today?

If any of the rude annoying idiots is your boss, I'd suggest not posting this where it can be traced to you. :wink2:

I ran across some dude in a bar section of a restaurant bashing a lawyer buddy of mine. It turned out to be one of his staff. I told him it was not cool to bash your boss in public. He told me to mind my own business. So I called my buddy, told him his employee was disparaging him in public at lunch, and the person was out on the street unemployed within 10 minutes of his return to work after lunch.

Bitching to your family or friends is cool, but bitching in public can have unforeseen consequences if they know where you post.

Agree, and serves that douche right.

I'm safe, I don't get on BP through my work comp, rather my iPhone. And it's not my boss, I see my boss once a month for about 5 hours (he lives out of state). :groove2:

You should've minded your own business. You're a fucking tattle-tale.

Feel free to allow people to [censored] your friends over and do nothing. I had my friend's back. If he said that his boss was ugly and a bad golfer I could give a [Mark May]. But an employee publicly trashing his boss and hurting his business reputation? [censored] that. I would greatly appreciate learning about a dishonest, back stabbing employee, and I have no problem reciprocating by telling my buddy what happened.

Turns out the guy never approached anyone with his so-called list of grievances. He was too much of a pussy to bring up his issues with anyone but some strangers ordering burgers and a beer, but happy to accept his freaking paycheck every two weeks. That kind of wuss lawyer deserves to be pounding the pavement. I gave him some sound advice. He chose to ignore it. Actions have consequences.

As much as it pains me to say this, and agree with you Gator, but you're right and I agree with you 100%

A dude can't bitch about his boss or job at a bar?

I'm aware actions have consequences. The appropriate action by that guy would be to find you and beat your ass.

Well, Kyle - if it were just the normal work bitching that is one thing. True, you did not know what was said.

Not to get into specifics, but the subject of the guy's ranting far exceeded "My boss is such as asshole" comment that would not get me spun up. The guy I am referring to was a lawyer for a certain firm, and he thought it OK to criticize the firm he worked for, criticize the line of work the firm did, criticize the clients of the firm, the attorneys in the firm, etc.

My friend spends a large sum of money every month on advertising his firm. Having one of his lawyers regaling the room with what a horrible bunch of assholes his clients and his co-workers and boss are - while mentioning his firm name - is so worthy of a firing, that don't know what else to tell you.

I can only say the difference will hit you the first time it is money out of your pocket you are paying an employee. My employees can go home and tell the family what an unreasonable ass I am all they want. I do not expect to hear that same discussion in a public forum identifying my firm by name. If they do, they will get fired if it gets back to me. The guy got a stupid penalty. If he was that f-in unhappy, then quit and get a new job or line of work.

I never said your buddy was the asshole. I said you were the asshole. You're a snitch. Deal with it. Own it.

So, new twist to working from a home office is having people come to your door on occasion. The other day it was some guy from Jones Edwards peddling investment services and then today it was two female bible thumpers peddling...well you know....

I am on a conference call works great....
