How do YOU watch the Bucks?

Whenever possible, I watch the games alone, at home, in the living room. The wivey knows that I do not like to be interrupted during game time or to walk in front of the TV while a play is going on. She usually stays in another room and reads or watches TV. She'll come in every once in a while to find out the score of the game. Sometimes she runs errands or goes shopping. She is supportive of my addiction. :tongue2:

When the game is not on TV, I'll go to a sports bar in town. Thankfully, almost all the Buck fans are real knowledgeable. One even played for the Bucks many, many, moons ago. So it's a pretty great environment to watch the games.

:osu:

Thats the same case with me.

Personally, the only way I can watch games with other people is if they are equally addicted and focused on watching the game. I don't want to hear peoples conversations about work or other crap, its Buckeye time.
My wife understands that, she even keeps people out of the living room because she knows I'll open up a can on anyone who starts distracting me from the game.

The only time I watched in a bar was the 3OT thriller vs NCState. I was in Sandusky Ohio at Great Bear Lodge, and it was great. Everytime a play was about to happen all 75 of us would get really quiet, then either cheer or boo, depending on the play. That place was electric!
As a general rule though, the bar enviroment is too distracting.

I most often watch the games alone at home. Once the game starts I can't change the seat I am sitting in. It isn't for good luck or anything, it's just something I've noticed I do. I don't think there are any local bars that would even consider showing a Buckeye's game. My little brother will come in everyonce in a while to check up on the game. There is nothing I hate more when someone comes in just to ask what the score is. It's not like the score isn't on the TV.

If the game's on TV here in Denver that's where I am..usually on my couch with the Bose blaring with my mom. Unfortunately we hardly ever get the regional coverage so I spend a lot of time at the bar, and it blows. The only place around here that gets the other regions is one that Nebraska fans flock to. Sigh.

When I'm in Ohio I'm either in Columbus at my brother's or my grandparents' in Cincy.

Will be going to my first regular season game this weekend though, and I hope to make this a regular thing next season. (I feel like I've said this about 2837648230498 times..god I'm PUMPED)

GO BUCKS! :osu:

It's funny when I moved to Savannah GA in the 02 season I got to watch about 3 games. Then I moved to Hilton Head SC. I found the alumni pad Mangiamos (great place for a game if you are ever in the area but get there EARLY) and watched ever game. I have now moved to Naples/Fort Myers area and have been going to Harolds place (another alum bar) I like it but its kinda an older crowd (since we are in God's waiting room here in SW Florida) My girl and I have found a nice little spot here in Fort Myers Beach thats not too crowded and the bartender saves the 2 seats right in front of the big flat screen for us every week so it's very nice to watch the game. We always show up in our OSU gear head to toe and have lots of people come up to us and talk since we (me) kinda look silly in all the gear. This week we are actually going up to Jacksonville for the Clowns-Jags game (I will call them that til Brady Quinn starts a game!) and we are getting with the J-ville alumni at Buffalo Wild Wings for the game they are expecting 200-250 total turnout. GO BUCKS!!!

Either at my friends house on his nice big TV, or at the Skybox in Raleigh. Theres about 150 Buckeye fans cramped into this tiny little space and its [censored]ing awesome. Almost like being at a real game. The Triangle Alumni Association for OSU holds a big party, prizes, raffles and stuff every game. Its wild. Hopefully going on Saturday for the PSU game.

This "minority" is getting bigger all the time...

Home, alone, standing most of the time... about 5-6 feet away from the screen. I even hung the TV so that the center of the screen would be at my eye-level when I'm standing for this and only this reason.

And my beverage of choice is almost always B&Ts. Since a Black & Tan is actually dark brown and tan, I call them "buckeyes" rather than Black&Tans. And as often as not I'll have a few brats during the game. Once or twice a year I switch it up and have chili.

At home, preferably alone. No booze, lots of caffeine. Various levels of agony until the W is secure. Absolutely no phone calls. Emails and texts limited to family only. Just got used to the idea of posting on BuckeyePlanet during games...

Either that or at the game and drunk.

Even though the Bucks lost, one of the best times we ever had watching a game was in tsun. We were on Mackinack Island for our first anniversary. In looking for a place to watch the game (Oct. 13, 2001 v. Wisky) we stumbled upon The Pilot House. The chalkboard outside pulled us in; $1 drafts. It was close to the noon kick-off, so we went in to at least grab a $1 draft. Surely the only beer they would offer had to be Miller Lite (Milwaukee pi[censored] water). But it was the last official tourist weekend for the island, so they were trying to empty the taps...Guinness was served! The day couldn't get any better, could it? Alas, the owner/bar keep (Sam) was from Akron and went to tOSU, and by game-time there were another 5-6 Buckeyes with us.

Even though Wisky got the W, we spent the whole day with Buckeyes in tsun. We even had the Jamaican waiters/waitresses singing Across the Field!

It depends, I can go to any game I want to, but I usually only go to the real big games though (yes, I'll be in attendance tomorrow!!). If I don't go to the game, I watch at home, alone. That's the way I like it. Since I have a daughter (a 2 yr old demolition machine), her and the Mrs. usually go away for the day for mother/daughter time. I get nervous before every game, and after every play. Hoping for a win, and praying for no injuries. I haven't missed a single play since the '03 season.

Impressive!

I used watch at my apartment, with my friend. We also used to go to every buckeye game AT Illinois. He has since joined the military. So I just watch at home on my 32" Vizio (yea, I'm cheap! :wink2:) Usually watch alone, because like most others I cannot stand people who think its social time. ITS BUCKEYE TIME! Heres to Victory tomorrow!

I watch at home usually with my twins hanging all over me...lol. It's cool though, because s the Bible says train them in the ways they should go and when they are old they shall not depart from it.

I can think of no better training than making sure I raise 2 little tOSU fans.

I find that watching alone is the best way because it's hard to focus when other people aren't as enthusiastic about the game as you are. Of course, you can watch the Michigan game with a couple of other diehards. For the NC game, definitely no more on-campus viewing for me.

Well I usually wake up go to the store and get a small feast. Come home watch some gameday while making my food. Then just kinda hang out and watch the game alone. I have gone to some buckeye bars before and those are great but for big games I usually watch alone. Tomorrow though I will be tailgating from 230-gametime and having a good time with some guys so can't wait!!
