i've been banned multiple times for saying the slightest negative comment (and some not so slight) about their football team and/or state.
not to mention that they believe that tOSU has no chance at all of beating UT much less even catching a glimpse of Vince Young and his fantabulous speed(the kind of speed ohio state has never even dreamed of).
Its really amazing the total lack of respect for tOSU's team. Most people on this board believe that Texas at the very least has a shot to beat us, but over there they are predicting 2 and 3 td victories like we are f-ing louisana lafayette.

guess what, homers exist everywhere. There were plenty of intelligent posters there... if you haven't noticed a ton of people on here have become more outlandish in their predictions of dominance by tOSU. Sure we have a few level headed predictions, but if you were a texas fan you could get just as offended over here.

hornfans.com is a good forum, I've been over there since this past spring and have enjoyed the majority of the posters (with some exceptions).

They do take misconceptions a long way over there though. For one, teams that are 8-4 can't, nor never have in the history of college football, win a national championship the following year...

Also, the same team that lost to Northwestern in 2004 will be taking the field on the 10th.

A lot of well informed, very well though out posts on there. But also, some of "TED GINN IS TERRIBLE AND AJ HAWK IS THE WORST LINEBACKER AND OSU PAYS OFF THEIR RECRUITS ROFL LOLOL!!!!11" as well as other posturing and saber-rattling. Not that I'm saying it doesn't exist here...

They have every reason to be confident in a victory, just as we do.

shotGINN - if you look around here, you'll see that there are all kinds of posters that are predicting tOSU to blow Texas out of the water. Homerism exists, no matter who or where you are. We here at BP do not want to stir the pot anymore, so let's try to tone it down a little, ok? Hornsfans can run their site how they see fit, but we'd rather keep it even keel here.

They do have some intelligent posters there. Here are some comments from the "Why Texas Stomps a Mudhole In Ohio State's Ass" thread.

"Listen, Jim Tressel would buttfuck a rhino if you told him offensive creativity was hiding in the rhino's ass."

"At heart, Jim Tressel has a vagina that can swallow stationwagons and that will bear itself out for us."

Very intelligent.

To be fair, there is also a lot of talk here about the 2002 MNC game v. Miami.

However, I agree that Hornfans is one of the poorer message forums out there. I have enjoyed reading many of he posts over here, and I expect to see a great game. Good luck to both sides.

I've noticed that too. What makes this exceptionally absurd is:

2002 LSU (7-5)
2001 OSU (7-5)
1999 Oklahoma (7-5)

3 of the last 6 BCS championship game winners were coming off of 7-5 seasons.

Regardless, if OSU doesn't win a national championship this year, it won't be because they were 8-4 last year. It'll be because Texas and Iowa are very, very good teams, and Happy Valley and the Big House are always tough road games regardless of how good or bad the home team is.

I am sure every poster I banned for "saying the slightest negative comment" is on multiple message boards saying BP sucks.

If you were not respecting their board or team, you deserved the boot IMHO.

Not to steal any thunder, but we've had to loosen our own personal aversion to banning people a bit in order to maintain order here as well. I know, through my personal in-box, that there are Hornsfans that think BP sucks as well.

Both sides have their homers and flamers. Different sites are going to maintain different levels of order, and allow different things to fly or not.

I can't speak to the quality of that site since I've never been there, but I can say that we've got some great Longhorns fans here, I imagine they've visited that site before, and that very fact would lead me to suggest that the whole site can't suck, even if it seems to some that the bulk of it does.

At the end of the day, I hope to see Texas fans sticking around on BP (at least the ones that are so well appreciated and respected around here) even after they lose on Saturday.

See what I did there?

Aw, 21 beat me to the punch. If I wasn't already shutting down, I'd edit this post to appear a minute before his.

You think they are big time homers? Wait until ND fans crawl out of the woodwork...those guys will be everywhere constantly trolling about offensive genius, tough schedules, and broadcasts on the worst sports broadcasting network of our times

That said, hornsfans can't be much worse than bucknuts...
