they were overrated at #6... and none of us who thought Oregon was overrated were involved in those polls. They came out and made a strong push at the end, but OU is a very average team this year.

On a sidenote, I'd like to request that the NCAA revise their rules... in order to prevent hugs, high-fives or smiling. In order to show that they mean business, any player that raises his arms in excitement should be immediately thrown out of the game.

Yeah no shit, The kid made a game winning int and they threw a flag on him for celebrating with his teammates.

Haha. The spike was excessive but when players dive into the endzone or jump around it's ridiculous to penalize them.

I agree. Bomar's spike could have been the dumbest play I've ever seen. Oh, no wait. The dumbest play I've ever seen was Peterson costing his team at least 3 (and probably 7) points by fumbling while attempting to stretch the ball over the goal line from the two yard line.

At least AP was kinda trying to do something smart. Bomar seriously raised the ball over his head, held it for a second, and then slammed it into the ground right in front of 2 officials.

How funny would that have been if it had cost Okie the game - or if they had recorded a safety that the changed the spread or over under results. (theoretically anyways. I don't think any spreads would have changed with an Okie safety in this game)

Its not just a Pac-10 thing:biggrin: :biggrin: If you will recall the prior year, 2003, it happened in reverse when a 10-1 #5 ranked Texas played #14th ranked 9-3 WSU. Texas was miffed that they had been passed over by the BCS. They bitched and moaned that they deserved a more worthy opponent than WSU...bitched and moaned so much that WSU won 28-20. The WSU defense chased down and sacked Texas QBs Vince Young and Chance Mock all night! A great victory in the history of WSU football!

Good point. Well I guess all you can say, is that if these teams would go challenge themselves in the non-conference schedule then they might have something to bitch about.
