I was reading some of the 'Theories' (although some people who post talk as if they have some kind of 'inside info' that make their theories sound like more than such...hmmm, sounds familiar to something else I read often :tongue2: ) on one of the Heroes Message boards, and here are a few of the more rational sounding tidbits that were offered:

...If you don't want to chance "spoiling" the surprise factor for yourself, then you might want to skip the rest of the post. I don't know if any of this has a lick of truth to it, but some of it sounded pretty convincing to me so proceed with that in mind please... :wink2:

First of all, several people are convinced that Peter is not the one who is 'the bomb'. They all were saying it turns out to be Sylar (sp?). No one (in my brief search of the thread) explained why or how, most were just speaking under this assumption as if it were fairly common knowlege...but like I said, I didn't read way back to find where this line of thought came from. My guess was that Sylar kills Ted and grabs his power.

Anyway, this line of thinking lead to a more interesting Tidbit: again, could be total crap, but a few people relayed this info as if having some sort of inside scoop: Future Hiro is in Isaac's apt. trying to figure out what 'went wrong'. In an episode to come (after Sylar becomes 'nuclear') Hiro fights Sylar and stabs him with his sword to try to prevent him from blowing up the city, but Sylar regenerates, so Hiro desides he needs to go back in time and prevent Sylar from getting Claire's powers. He visits Peter on the train...hence, "Save the cheerleader / Save the world".

Now Future Hiro returns to 'his time', but nothing has changed (city still destroyed) and he's confused. Then he sees his past self in the apt. Since present Hiro tells his friend "what's the point in going back to the present...I failed." he isn't there to fight Sylar, stab him and prevent him from blowing up now that they stopped him from getting Claire's powers.

Other smaller things people were speculating / sharing:

In the next episode Sylar possibly has killed Nathan in that possible future. He destroyed NY, then the world was hunting him...he supposedly killed the Shape Shifter girl, then Nathan and takes on Nathan's identity. Evidence of the preview where Nathan says, "I'm the most special person there is." ala Sylar.

Some were saying that Symone (sp), Isaac / Peter's girlfriend is in one or more of the future episodes and has some sort of power.

And that next Season (after they save the world from Sylar) will be largely about the past and how those people who are the main characters now got to where they are...parents and their powers, Saresh's Father / Sister, Claire's situation, her father & The Company...I assume Linderman, etc.

Anyway, take it for what it's worth. I found it interesting, true or not. My wife and I love the show and wait eagerly for each Monday to roll around.

God their mom is a bitch.

Maybe so, but I'm very interested to see what sort of powers she has. She obviously knows much more about what's going on that she ever led anyone to believe.

Also, before Isaac died he said he knew the secret of killing Sylar - anyone else think that it's in the sketchbook he gave to the delivery guy - or perhaps in the comic book, itself? If not, anyone have any other ideas?

Hubbard will have to paint us a picture.

I think this is exactly what happened, probably the comic book. He knows Linderman has been following it.

I too think it's Sylar that blows up, not peter. As far as Symone goes...she would have to have regeneration, although that part of the story was abruptly cut short, so who knows. I thought she had powers as well, but she died and it was not a big deal, no mention of it really afterwards.

I am still curious why it's Sylar or Peter that people think is going to blow up the City and not Ted himself? I mean the guys not exactly stable, and he's on his way to New York.

Well in the early episodes Isaac actually painted Peter blowing up, could see his face and everything, but I still say it's Sylar.

Another thought: Who do you think were Linderman's friends? One of them has to be Hiro's father, not sure who the other(s) are.

Well, here's the painting of someone blowing up:

That could easily be anyone, it just shows "someone" exploding, Peter has determined it must be him, but it could easily be Ted, Sylar or Peter IMO, plus Ted, like I said, is on his way to N.Y. to get into the mix.

I'll try and find which episode it was, but i know you could see Peter's face.

Another one of Linderman's friends: Peter's mother.

How about Jessica/Nikki's Father as one of Linderman's "friends". No reason other than Micah's Father saying something to the effect "your becoming just like your Father" to her last episode, so I'm guessing they'll develope that whole story more in future weeks....maybe showing Nikki with deeper / family connections to Linderman than evident at present.

Well all of Isaac's paintings are ont he Wiki: http://heroeswiki.com/Isaac's_paintings

There is a picture of Peter having a vision of himself blowing up, but that doesn't really mean a whole lot.

That's just where I was and found this line: Outside the Odessa Police Department, Peter Petrelli has a vision of a practically deserted Times Square. Peter sees himself glowing and grimacing in pain or frustration, as if he were about to explode. After the vision, he turns to his brother and says the explosion is "all my fault".

So you are right, it could be anyone really.

Well they had that clip a while back of Nikki's father coming to the house and giving Micah a computer, Micah goes in and takes the PC apart and the dad flips out. But during that scene Nikki's dad kept saying "You don't remember do you?" so there's something there to be explored.

I also grow curious how someone like Nikki, who's not exactly high class, gets involved with Linderman all together, so odds are there's some family-ties there.

What if it's just someone who looks like Peter that blows up? Say, Candice perhaps? (she's the chick who can morph into anyone). She obviously has the ability to "turn into" Peter - so maybe it's her?
