Helmet Stickers / Buckeye Leaves (all merged)

Buckeye Leaves are given out like Candy in this era. A lot of them are earned for "team"/group goals that are achieved ie OL, DL, Sp Teams, etc etc. I like the way they're given out compared to previous years but you need to realize most of them are TEAM oriented and that helps instill the TEAM concept. I like it. Everyone has a role on the field and if someone doesn't do their part then the chances of achieving the goal for that game and a buckeye leaf goes down.

While I wholeheartedly agree with team/unit goals being the primary criteria for Buckeye leaves, I think leaves should also be awarded for outstanding individual effort. Pryor comes in and leads his team to scores on his first two drives of his career, including that sweet 18-yard TD run, and doesn't get shit for it. That TD run alone was worth a leaf...

I totally agree. He did something as a QB that is difficult enough to do as a second year starter. As a freshman, coming into the game with all the jitters and nerves of a true freshman and doing what he did is fantastic. Maybe Tressel expected him to do more and he didn't meet that goal. I don't know, high standards I guess. In any case that was a sweet 18 yard TD, worth more IMO. I have a feeling he'll need two helmets to hold all of his leaves in the near future.
