College football’s best helmets, ranked
1. OHIO STATE
The best college football helmet of all time? The gray, scarlet, black, white and occasionally stickered-up helmet of Ohio State.
"In my opinion," 247Sports' Matt Howe wrote, "the helmet plus the stickers make it the most recognizable helmet in all of college football."
QUIETING THE COMPETITION
Even with arguably the best helmet in the college game, Ohio State isn't afraid to mix things up. In the 2017 Ohio State-Michigan game, for instance, the Buckeyes donned a predominantly metallic silver dome. That's defensive end Sam Hubbard wearing one, and shushing the crowd, during the contest.

Looks a little flatter than normal on the gray tones. Crazy looking design though and if it prevents concussions, go for it,

Stroud believes the helmet is an upgrade in terms of safety and field vision from the previous helmet. Last season, the quarterback was wearing a Riddell Speedflex Precision.
