A darker green may look black under low lighting conditions, but I don't know of any outdoor lighting conditions that would make black look green...

I did...it means shit. Scott Terna's (hawaiianbuckeye's) game helmet has stickers where the leaves are indeed black. That photo on coachtressel.com can very well be of an older helmet. Try looking again at josh's photo I posted above. If those leaves were black yet looked green because of the sunlight, then wouldn't the black helmet stripes look green also? And simply check out the color of the leaves the next time you watch a game, especially if it's bright and sunny out and you have HDTV. There's absolutely no question that the helmet stickers we're using, and that we've been using over the last few years, are green...

If the leaves weren't green, then why are the leaf award icons used on Tressel's very own site green?

I'll try to take notice on the next day game. Only reason I'm going to guess that they're green on the websites, is because if they were black, it would just look like a black blob (since they're so small). Either way, it doesn't make much of a difference. Oh....and........:scum4:

Found this on a local News site. If anyone wanted to know how players got the Buckeye Leaf Stickers.

Deep Thoughts

The Path to the Leaf: How a Buckeye earns a sticker.

The tradition was born in 1968 by the OSU Head Athletic Trainer, Ernie Biggs. It was immortalized in an ESPN commerical back in the late 90?s. How a Buckeye earns a Buckeye Leaf sticker on his helmet seems simple--make a good play, get a leaf. But it doesn?t work that way--not even close. Here?s the list of criteria Coach Tressel uses to award helmet stickers after each week?s game: Courtesy of Coach Tressel?s website.
