New show on the syfy show. Usually their movies are a shitfest. But their shows are usually pretty decent. It's about an outbreak in an arctic lab and the CDC goes to investigate. If you like Fringe, Walking Dead, and other shows, this might be up your alley.

They marathoned the first episodes last week-end, and they're also available On Demand.

I make it a goulash of elements from Alien(s), Kurt Russell's The Thing, Outbreak/Contagion, Lost and The Walking Dead. Seems like I'm leaving another one out...(as if those weren't enough).

Superior to SyFy's formula made-for-TV disaster flicks, not as good as their Being Human, imo. Pretty nondescript cast, but some of the story line is fairly intriguing. I like the arctic locale, for the sense of isolation and claustrophobia--trapped inside with each other and "IT" and nowhere to run. The culprit virus probably shares something with the 28 Days series, but I've honestly never been able to get into more than a few minutes of those, so that's mostly a guess. They've hinted at enough secrets already--dastardly and/or mysterious--to allow for ongoing reveals.

I'd say I'm modestly curious enough to drop back and see where they go with it.
