Miller hired Richardson and Whitford from X so the 3rd assistant won't be Archie and someone plugged into West Coast AAU scene.
Unless, for some reason, Chris Mick does not get the HC job at Xavier. Are you just assuming that he is going to hire his 3rd assistant from the West Coast:huh: The HC position will be announced within the next couple days people are saying.

Now here is a name that you haven't heard lately:

Source: Rutgers, Hill negotiatingSource: Rutgers, Hill negotiating

Negotiations began Thursday between Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti and men's basketball coach Fred Hill to terminate Hill's employment, a source with direct knowledge of the situation said.
At issue is whether Rutgers will pay Hill the nearly $2 million he would be owed under his current contract, which has three years remaining. If the sides cannot come to an agreement -- and they were far apart Thursday, according to a source -- then there could be a legal battle ahead for whether Hill will be terminated for cause.
Rutgers offered Hill a $600,000 buyout that was rejected by Hill's representatives, according to a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations.
A number of sources have confirmed that ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla, a former coach for St. John's, Manhattan and New Mexico, as well as Jim O'Brien, a former Ohio State and Boston College coach, are said to be high on Rutgers' wish list as possible replacements for Hill.

I'm sure O'Brien could give both parties some advice on that one.

Sources: Charlie Ward to become Florida A&M basketball coach

Former Heisman Trophy winner and first-round NBA draft pick Charlie Ward is set to become the men's basketball coach at Florida A&M, sources told ESPN.

Ward is finalizing a deal to become the Rattlers' coach, sources said. The school's board has a meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, when there is an agenda item to approve the contract of a new men's basketball coach.

Ward, 54, was the 1993 Heisman Trophy winner at Florida State and played in the NBA from 1994 to 2005. He played primarily for the New York Knicks but finished his career playing for both the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.

Ward brings a diverse résumé of basketball coaching experience. He was an assistant coach with the Rockets for two seasons in 2005-06 and 2006-07 and a high school head coach in Tallahassee and with USA basketball.
