1st BiG COY in forever (too lazy to research)
2 outright BiG Championships in first 2 years
2 CFP in first 2 years.
1 CFP Championship game appearance in first 2 years
2 total losses in first 2 years - 2 period counting his stand in for Urban
Top 2 in national recruiting classes first two years
Breaking Offensive records by the bushel
Already building a coaching tree.
Turning down mega offers for the league and elsewhere so he definitely loves being here.

He's signed through 2023 but I would be ok offering the guy a 5-7 year extension in the $6M per year range with incentive bonuses for him and his assistants.
Then you lock Hartline down as the highest paid assistant coach in CFB and include incentives like, recruiter of the year, Broyles winner, Biletnikoff winners etc.

Then go looking for the best young Defensive coaches in existence and build the juggernaut that rivals all that Satan has down in Alabama. Make it happen

The COY thing is since 1979, Earle Bruce’s first year, when he was undefeated before the Rose Bowl.

Because only at tOSU can two guys win a Natty without winning their conference’s COY.

As long as Iowa gets 8 wins or a scrappy Rutgers or Illinois team gets a historic 6 win season, OSU won't ever get a COY. Voter fatigue much like Shaq, Lebron James and Michael Jordan could win MVPs everywhere. Voters want to create excitement...

Ranking the top 10 college football coaches under age 45 entering the 2021 season

1. Lincoln Riley (37), Oklahoma

2. Ryan Day (42), Ohio State
23-2 (.920) in two-plus seasons: You know, 23-2 isn't a bad way to start a head coaching career, especially when the two losses are in the CFP. That's right, Day has yet to lose in the regular season. Perhaps Day's biggest accomplishment to date was helping will the Big Ten into playing fall football in 2020. The Buckeyes were loaded and Day knew it. In a season impacted by COVID-19, Day took Ohio State all the way to the CFP Championship Game. It wasn't pretty with the program dodging coronavirus along the way. Day now enters a new era in his third full season without Justin Fields and many of the Urban Meyer-recruited players.

Of course, only one of these has a CFP win on his resume, and it sure ain’t the guy with all the L’s in his name.

Good Samaritan gives Ohio State head coach Ryan Day a helping hand

As it turns out, high-profile head football coaches are human too. We’ve all been there before, making a trip to the city for a personal issue or business related matter. And then, the worst part, trying to find parking on the street and time your adventure just right as not to overpay or even worse… underpay and be at the mercy of the meter maid and possible parking ticket.

It seems being the head coach at The Ohio State University doesn’t exempt you from these kinds of everyday, average joe type problems. Apparently, Ryan Day had some business to take care of in town that went a little longer than expected. But never fear, when you’re one of the most well-known figures in the state of Ohio, (and you’re winning games) someone is going to have your back.

Twitter user @Will_Palmer_36 recognized Day’s vehicle after seeing the coach earlier and noticed the meter had expired. Palmer being a lifelong Ohio State fan and current OSU student decided to help the coach out and deposit a few coins to keep Day on the legal side of the law.
