Any advice on how I should prep ?

Heard Day on aBTN interview a week or two before The Game saying that the CFP system adds four weeks to the schedule, making it a two season system. “You have to train in a way that allows you to be at your strongest when the playoffs start. My staff and I sat down over the summer and determined what we needed to do to make that happen. One of the steps was to reduce the number of plays in each game of the first season. We did that by slowing down how fast we played.” My guess is that Day dstuck with that knowing it was a risk in The Game. When I watched the Tennessee game I asked “Who are these guys?” Then it dawned on me, this was CFP season and the coaches had opened the gates.I think he has seen at least some light. I was paying attention to how he reacted in game context (i.e., calling necessary time outs, showing some emotion and communicating positive energy to the players). The "get to the 4th quarter with a chance to win" mantra would seem to be dead and buried. The first half last night was the best first half that I have witnessed...ever.
Ok so we have it figured out let's just start season 2 one game earlierHeard Day on aBTN interview a week or two before The Game saying that the CFP system adds four weeks to the schedule, making it a two season system. “You have to train in a way that allows you to be at your strongest when the playoffs start. You're fine, it's 2025.I'm pretty sure I said "monkeys will fly out of my ass before Day wins a Natty this year".

That hadn't dawned on me either until recently. I guess that is a good strategy except that we should save nothing in The Game and get as many plays/points as humanly possible. Should have been the same game plan as against Tennessee and Oregon for that one. That said, I know we want to win The Game and B1G championship, but it did give us an extra week of preparation and rest heading into the CFP.Heard Day on aBTN interview a week or two before The Game saying that the CFP system adds four weeks to the schedule, making it a two season system. “You have to train in a way that allows you to be at your strongest when the playoffs start. That's a stupid ass planDay assumed we’d beat scUM with the approach we took. The kicker and to in red zone ruined the plan.

I respect the grand plan and big picture thinking, but IMBSO a better way to reduce the number of plays, especially for your best players, is to unleash hell with tempo, misdirection, and TJSTGDB and have the backups in by the middle of the third quarter most weeks. Similarly, a better way to win the ever critical rushing yards battle against scUM than running into the strength of their defense is to unleash aerial hell on them early, force them to try to throw to catch up, and then win the rushing yards battle by grinding clock on their exhausted defense while up 2 or more TDs in the second half.Heard Day on aBTN interview a week or two before The Game saying that the CFP system adds four weeks to the schedule, making it a two season system. “You have to train in a way that allows you to be at your strongest when the playoffs start. I get that. My modification would be that the second season starts the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We absolutely should have unleashed hell that day. I said in the aftermath that if we'd played basketball on grass instead of Woody Ball, we smoke tcun by 30. The run should have started then. He'd better learn that going forward.Heard Day on aBTN interview a week or two before The Game saying that the CFP system adds four weeks to the schedule, making it a two season system. “You have to train in a way that allows you to be at your strongest when the playoffs start.
