HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

There's questioning and then there's just needless or pointless negativity.

Should Day be questioned? Yes. And it'll be endless, especially by those like BM11 who don't ever offer any type of solution.

There are other posters (like @Buckeneye ) who will provide actual insight to the issues and how to fix them. Since Buckeneye has been right basically every time I've seen him do it, and let's say changes don't happen, then that's Day's problem.

I can't illustrate the difference any better than by comparing those examples.

That's very kind, thank you.

Re: Patricia NFL & Arthur NFL

Coach Pat was a 'meh' NFL HC. But Widely regarded as a great defensive mind.

Coach Arthur is widely regarded as a poor OC at the NFL level.

Something to be considered.

Agreed. On the offensive side, I pointed out that Day's best offenses statistically came when he had either Kevin Wilson or Chip Kelly as OC. Both of them are more college guys than NFL guys.

I don't think the offensive game plan was truly horrid tonight. At least, I think trying to run the ball and try to take pressure off of Fahey was the right thing to do. I do think it was limited by scope due to Fahey's inexperience, and I think that's probably why they didn't go away from it until it was truly desperation time.

I'm genuinely concerned about the repeated issues on defense that showed up today. There seemed to be a big time gap in between the hashes from 5 to 20-25 yards whenever USC needed it. Add in some horrifically bad tackling and we get what we got.

I think those have been way more prevalent than what the overall stats have indicated this year; I know it's a bit anecdotal, but I feel like I've seen it several times each game, but the lesser QBs we've played just miss (or like Texas this year, the WR messes up).
