#1 205: Woody (28 years)
#2 111: Cooper (13 years)
#3 106: Tressel (10 years)

Was just talking to my wife about how I didn’t realize Tress did all he did in 10 years. We were in our 20s when he was ruining the B1G.
Absolutely incredible. Also, time flies, holy crap.

Day will have his name on The Shoe in the future. He’s an amazing coach with the creds.

Some mental dinosaurs will refuse to accept but Day > Meyer and it’s not close. Meyer ain’t winning at this clip in this era….he’s 3 heart attacks and a stroke deep at least 2019-2026.
Meyer is a more versatile and superior coach for more situations in college, but he burns out himself and his effectiveness.

Day is a superior CEO/coach, both in longevity and adaptability. Considerably different leader as well, particularly on the hiring and delegation front.

There's a giant schematic advantage too heavily in Ryan's favor. They both have flaws there, but Ryan is not stuck in another decade.

Both grew on the platform built by the Lt Gov... "I can assure you that you will be proud of your young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan."

Meyer destroyed those bastards and so has Day, with the exception of their cheating. I sincerely hope that he is quietly motivating his team to absolutely embarrass them with a record victory in Columbus.

It would be interesting to see Meyer in the NIL/Portal era though. I think he would burn out even faster

Day’s inner fire runs on cleaner fuel than Meyer’s.

Better for the environment.
Just sayin’

edit: I wanna take this chance to once again say how much I enjoy being a fan of a program with this legacy of great coaches and leaders of men. Paul Brown broke ground, Woody laid strong foundations and what’s been built over the past seven plus decades has been a joy to watch.
