Hate more: ND or UM? (split from ND thread)

1. Ped State - you just don't understand unless you've had to live among them.
2. Ntre Ame - Catholic family members like Ntre Ame and still think Lou Holtzhshshshsh is the head coach or something :smash:
3. Bama - My Dad is a longtime Tennecheat fan, I grew up hearing about Bear "Goddamn" Bryant from him.
4. Florida - Somewhat similar to #3, but the modifier for Spurrier was 'cocksucker'
5. scUM - it was easier to hate them when they were beating Ohio State regularly I grant you that, but even then I hated Ped State more.
6-10 - some combination of Cryami, Free Shoes, Boysee State, U$C and the Juggalos.

These days it would have to be:

1A. TSUN
1B. Ped State
1C. ND (Being from Cincinnati and hearing all of the "Catholics" root for those fuckers drove me over the edge.)
2. Juggaloes (After Ohio's BCS team started their smack talk they jumped up pretty high. Now they say tOSU is afraid of them still.)
3. Any team in the $EC that has fans that root for the conference even though their team is absolute shit.
4. Oregon (I hate Nike)
5. Wisconsin (Assholes)
6. Kansas State (See Mike80's reason for PSU)

To me there's a distinction of hate between teams/programs and fanbases.

If we're talking fanbases:
1) Ped Aggy--seriously, after the last two years how could anyone put ANY schools' fans higher than the JoePed cult.
2) Notre Dame--for all the reasons others have mentioned
3) USC--having grown up out West during one of their glory periods their bandwagon fans are every bit as bad as the domers. The only real difference is that they tend to disappear in the down years. As for the actual students and alumni, if they ever make a Pretty in Pink sequal, James Spader's character will undoubtedly have gone off to USC.
4)SEC!SEC!SEC!--Arrogant, illiterate and toothless is no way to go through life, son.
5) Juggalos--clowns from clown colleges should just keep their mouths shut.

Big Ten Honorable Mentions
1) The Children of the Corn--I never bought their phony sodbusting, hayseed aw-shucks act. And their actions in supporting that despicable program in the mid-90s just proved the fact.
2)Michigan--particularly the Ivy League rejects from the Northeast who go through life with the chips forever on their shoulders.

Teams/Programs would probably be:
1) Notre Dame
2) USC
3) Alabama
4) Da U (if they're relevant)
5) Oklahoma

Mizzu feels disrespected by your post. (I'm sure both Kentucky and Vandy don't feel disrespected at all, they're used to living vicariously through the other schools you mentioned)

I don't hate Vandy because they're like the little brother who tries so hard, but still ends up just getting his ass whipped.
I can respect that.

I don't hate Kentucky, because well how can you hate "special needs" patients.

I'm unaware of any college football teams in Missouri.

  1. Well half way into two fingers of woodford reserve is not a good starting point, especially since I washed down some lamb chops with two glasses of a nice cab.
  2. my loathing of nd is irrational in some aspects, but across the broad history of college football there is no program- Yale, Harvard, Michigan, USC, Alabama, Ohio State - that has received moe national/media love than Notre dame.
  3. Some of it is deserved and I'm not here to dispute that. But I am here to dispute NCs and Heismans that went to the Notre dame program that flew in the face of all logic. Paul hornung, Manti Te'o stand out, but they certainly do not represent the total.
  4. We always have the opportunity to square matters with Michigan, to succeed when we end that final game with a win, or to accept the temporary set back when we lose. but we seldom have the opportunity to prove that our Buckeyes deserve greater recognition in relation to the darlings of south bend.
  5. And that same tilted scale applies to Michigan, Michigan state, Purdue and any other big ten school that enters the post season with a comparable level achievement with the Irish.
  6. A Notre dame anything is a victory of a single minded, self focused, self congratulatory, self minded program that is not willing to accept what ever benefit it receives with anyone outside itself.
  7. That's the end of my testimony.
