Has anybody seen this movie???

I forget the name of this movie, and I don't remember the name of any of the actors. But I watched it on DVD two years ago, so it is farely recent. Here is what I remember from the plot.

The main character is a middle aged man who doesn't lead a very exciting life. Strange things start happening to him around his birthday. Towards the beginning of the movie he meets his brother at a resturant, who is not that great of a guy. His brother gives him a card and tells him to go to this company. (This company end up being the causes to the excitement in his life that ensues.)Then throughout the movie people start chasing him and he meets this woman who is a waitress at a resturant. He goes to her house. He also gets stuck in a parking garage of a hospital with her when all the lights go out and all the ambulences drive away and the building just is stranded. I think this happens right after somebody got hit by a car or had a heart attack, so they took them to this hospital.

In the end of the movie you find out that the things that were going on in his life weren't real, but all the people he had met were actors and they were hired to make his life more exciting. The end is like a big party which occurs right after he either falls off a building or pushes somebody off. I can't quite remember. He finds out that this thrill he had, was actually his birthday gift because his life was boring.

Anybody have any clue what the hell I am talking about?

"The Game" took me on one psychological thrill ride after another loaded with twists and turns scene after scene.

Michael Douglas pulled off his best performance as Nicholas Van Orton a man who is approaching his birthday. Upon which he receives an invitation to play a game given to him by his brother Conrad played by Sean Penn. Nicholas reluctantly agrees and soon finds out that the game is more than he bargained for.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film because I never knew who was trustworthy or what was going to happen next, this truly was one film that must be seen by those who enjoy never knowing for sure how a movie will turn out.

"The Game" is all Michael Douglas and how well he pulls off his role of being the innocent who happens to be in the middle of a game he can't control. However, a really good movie can not be pulled off by one actor, a whole lot of credit should go to Sean Penn and Deborah Kara Unger for their convincing portrayals in this film.

I only watched part of this movie, but I don't remember why.

Damn!!! I can't believe I couldn't remember Michael Douglass and Sean Penn. I saw this movie late one night, probably drunk, and something at work reminded me of the plot, but I couldn't remember anything else. Thanks for the help. Is there anything BP can't do?
