Damn that brings back a lot of memories. I can't believe how many hours I wasted on that thing.

The all time best game for that system was Decathlon

A trick that I discovered to the pole vault, was that by pressing the button multiple times when releasing the pole, the guy would move higher and higher up the screen, allowing you to clear heights to where the pole was at the top of the screen. That game rocked.
