gbb - Not necessarily, since Sushi referenced that a number of them all turned 30 around the same time, but that actually spanned several months. I'd guesstimate that a more encompassing timeframe would be the 2nd half of 1974, say July - December.

Of course my original reference to the matter included a movie starring Roger Moore, who is one of our celebrity posters. :wink2:

In an amazing coincidence, Lucas wrote the script for Star Wars, and the ghost story for Empire & Jedi in '74 as well. So he might've come up with the idea for SalaciousBCrumb during the same time period you're referring to.

Is it possible that Tibbs' parents went to see Roger Moore in the Man With the Golden Gun, got home, concieved Tibbs, while miles away in Northern California somewhere Lucas came up with the idea for Salacious Crumb all at the same time??

Great stuff. The Golden Gun movie has always been one of the funnier ones.

Incidently, my parents are big James Bond fans. Actually, almost all Indians of that generation are. Probably because the weak plot and action remind them of Bollywood. That, and the fact that it's a British series means it has been shown in India for a long time.

Happy birthday, Tibs.

I laughed out loud in anticipation when I saw the thread title, but not when glancing through it. While we've criticized Tibs for being less creative lately, our efforts in this thread haven't yet contained any classic stuff either. Maybe it's the dog days of summer.

Although Scooter's post was worthy of CCI.

You should make up random Birthdays for Roger & Mr. Crumb so someone posts a 'Happy Birthday, RogerMoore' thread on that day.
