I can't say much more than has already been said in this thread. They are obviously losers and have no buisness calling themselves Ohio State fans. I think I may send a letter to the editor and express my disgust that those hacks. Hopefully it'll be printed and show that these weren't real OSU fans.

It's not Hambys fault I think that coaching was the Problem in the Game. The game lasts 60 minutes not 30. The entire second half of the game was run the Clock out and hope the Defense holds them. I think Jim Tressel was playing conservative (as usual) and we should have beat them by 30 points but had to settle for Field Goals 5 times! My blame goes to the Offensive Coaching Staff for not getting the Ball to the Playmakers (GINN HOLMES). Yes Hamby should have caught that ball. Would Ohio State win the Game because of that? Probably, BUT the Game Should Have Been Won In The 3RD QUARTER, when we were playing clock ball.

Simply put this is crazy. these people are not true fans. I never had a negative thought about Hamby dropping the ball. To me it is like when I played football and one of my teamates made a mistake. You say "Shit" move on and go to the next play.

Herbie takes time out of his ESPN chat today to blast the Hamby-haters ...
To all you freaking clowns who like to call yourself Ohio State ''fans'' -- I just want to take the time to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to send senior TE Ryan Hamby e-mails threatning him and telling him what a bad player he is for making that key drop in the third quarter against Texas. It's people like that that give Ohio State fans such a black eye. What's great about fans like that is when a team wins, they are the most obnixious Ohio State fans you can find, and as soon as the team struggles, they are blaming everybody from the head coach to the quarterback to the tight end who missed a catch. But, I've found it once again MIND BOGGLING, that some people would take the initiative to send Hamby hate-mail after all that kid has done for the university. Nice touch.

If he caught that pass, chances are that we might have won the game.

We did not, however, lose because he dropped the pass. Who knows how many more touchdowns we would have scored on other drives if everyone executed properly.

The people who wrote Hamby are NOT Ohio State fans.

I think the problem with Ohio St. fans is after the 02 season we got a bunch of people jump on our bandwagon and now expect a perfect season every year and if not they want to just go on a rampage and get rid of every player and coach and start over.

By the way that was a great piece by Herbie, He is loyal to this university and always will be.

You make me want to punch a baby with your ignorance.
Rubies, homo.
Edit: Damnit, did it again? Didn't change from I approve to I disapprove. Can somebody red this freak for me? I'm an idiot.

i was talking to someone about this and he said its not really a big deal. apparently justin zwick receives hundreds of hate emails a week. he also said something about ginns floor last year having to go to 24 hr security based on vandalism of the anti ginn variety.

Exactamundo. Anyone born and raised in Ohio knows that Ohio is a college football state. It has been a fact of life that there is an obscene/disproportionate number of bandwagon fans in Ohio than possibly any other state. When Notre Dame is a national power the Ohio-born fans crawl out of the damn woodwork to cheer them. When Ohio State saw national title after national title die against the Wolverines in the 90's it began to feel like there were more Michigan fans living in Ohio than there were Ohio State fans. It got so bad by the '99, '00 seasons that I gave up going out to bars after The Game. I mean, I couldn't even walk into my own neighborhood bar, where I'd been a regular for years, because the night after the game the place was overrun with a hundred Michigan 'fans' looking for a fight.

Now that Ohio State is back in the national spotlight, with a 3-1 bowl record, 3-1 UM record, two 10-win seasons, a Big-10 title, and a national title ... all those obnoxious fans of UM and ND are back to cheering for OSU.

It's the same reason why you can walk down any street in any town in Central Ohio and see a kid wearing a Tennessee hat (when they're good), or a Miami hat (before the Bucks beat them), or like I saw yesterday driving to lunch ... a Texas hat. There will always be those antagonists who enjoy being the asshole of the party. Now they're just trading in their UM hats for OSU hats.
