HALP!!!!!! I Not 4 Cheesebrgr!

scarletandgrey

Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult!
Ok here's the problem I got a NASTY virus from an email on monday on my home cpu. I run Avast but it can't seem to get rid of the problem. Everytime I delete it returns very soon. It's some sort of a Trojan and like I said it won't go away. I've went in and manually deleted the file but it returns again.

What else can I do to fix the problem?

Make a bootable CD with your virus killing / cleansing software on it.
Boot of the CD.
Run your scan of the hard-drive(s) find and eliminate the instance of that trojan which is self-replicating itself when Avast finds a copy and tries to get rid of the same.
You may have to go in "by hand" and do this by command line.

just for our sake, what was the subject of the email? oh, and what in the hell are you doing opening a likely suspicious email?

The E-mail had an address on it that was similar to a friend of mines it was only after I opened it did I notice that it was one letter off. MFers are getting sneaky!!!!
