Just a note on the storyline..

It's been confirmed now that the didact we faced was the Ur-Didact and not Bornstellar-Didact


A lot of questions will be answered in the new book coming out next month Halo:Slienitum (the final book of the forerunner trilogy)

I've really been busy with school. Not even turned my box on in around a month. Having said that I'm a hugh fan of Halo and its MP. But, although I love the graphics in 4, I was very disappointed with amount of power weapons that they have in many of the game types and how that lends inself to pray and spray. As an example, I jumped on Halo 3 and Reach to see just how much difference there was between the AR from 4 and AR from Reach and 3. The difference is extreme and even the effective range was defferent. I believe they realize that other shooters are a major threat to sales and overall popularity. I think they also listened to the frustrations expressed by some COD, MW, type players over what they precieved as excessive need of aim, focus, etc... This is sad IMO because if I wanted that I would simply play COD or MW.

I am really hoping they make an anniversary edition of Halo 2. Give it the graphical overlay of Halo 4 without any of the other crap. 2 and 3 are still the gold standard for me where both teams start totally equal, weapons are in fixed places, and skills and technique are the only path to victory. Rant over.

They could start with better ports to PC. Shooters have always been superior with a keyboard and mouse... Halo CE when it was finally released for PC was awesome, but poorly coded, sluggish - a general resource hog.

I have not played them yet but I just downloaded the new map pack. Have heard much better things about these maps from the halo diehards. Smaller, more traditional maps that are focused around slayer 4v4 and 2v2. Last week I gave doubles a try, loved it. We are undefeated so far. :) Although I wish they'd return to classic and not have ordinance drops it was still fun and was as close to Halo 3 as I think 4 will get. Pulse that playlist was my first 50 rank in 3. So it brought back good memories.

Also several of the community maps that they introduced to match making were nice, built around small team play as well.

that's good, just need to fix the gameplay of MP and I'd hope back in it
