I spent the last 30 minutes thinking of something mean to post...but I changed my mind..


Takes place roughly near the beginning of the Human-Covenant war, and follows a kid names Thomas Lasky (who will be a character in H4), and follows him as a cadet at a Military Academy...

watch them and see for yourself

This is a great reason to watch Forward Unto Dawn. If you have not played the series, read the books, or are very familiar with the storyline in any way, then this will be a nice way for you to see when, where, and why we were ever in the conlict with the Alien forces. Most average Halo fans still don't realize that John Spartan 117 was made in response to "human to to human" conflicts/terrorism/civil war and not the aliens you fight during the games. Around the time the UNSC was just starting to untilize their new special forces -the spartan program- against the human forces wanting to breaking away from UNSC control, we stumble into this war against an allied group of alien species that are motivated by religious beliefs and due to these beliefs see humans as an insult to their pure beliefs.

I could go on but my point is that Forward Unto Dawn is basically a flash back to some critical characters you will find in Halo 4 and a little of where John Spartan first gets his feet wet dealing with these unknown aliiens. Its a good starting point if you were wanting to get a grasp of the story arch.

There's no real origin attached to them, as they're not sure what started it, they date back before even forerunner time...

The halos were built by forerunners to combat the flood, as mentioned in games they were designed to kill all life to starve the flood

They're basically a mysterious creature

I remember the exact same thing. It really creeped me out. I was hearing that rushing footstep sound right before bursting into the room. It's moments like that that make Halo what it is. Hoping Halo 4 can deliver such moments.

Back in the days when Halo was controlled by Bungie they were famous for doing strange viral videos, that if put together clue by clue, would tell you a major news anouncment before it went public. Look for possibly big news on the 5th or just some new info.

They did a viral video called ilovebees with a past halo game and this one is beng called ilovebutterflies.

As others have pointed out that the symbol is the Didacts sign and that the one video is exactly 117 seconds long -pointing to John Spartan. Have fun figuring it out if you can.

My predictions for the Reclaimer trilogy (H4-H6)

these aren't spoilers, but my predictions based off of nothing

I haven't decided which but wither Bornstellar Didact or Ur-Didact is the bad person in H4
If it's Ur-Didact, I think Bornstellar joins either end of H4 or maybe H5 or 6 to help aid Chief
We will get a glimpse of MC's life
The flood will return (maybe with the primordial? but he may be dead, not sure)
343 Guilt Spark will make a return
and my final prediction, Cortana will die in either end of 4 or end of 5
