Yea, I'm pretty excited to see the rest of the episodes and then how that ties into the game. The latest rumors I've heard is that this mini series will lead into the Halo movie...whenever that happens. Hopefully this series will push people to make the Halo movie sooner.

yea, I would live the Halo movie, but also be very nervous about it. The first one almost has to be about Master Chief, the thing is, how do you present him? Very tricky

I personally would love to see a movie based off the books..Fall of Reach, First Strike, etc

If nothing else the web episodes will validate the concept of a Halo movie and that their is a strong enough fan base to be profitable for a major movie studio to take on the product. I think they will also want to see that a broader audience beyond gamers would be respective, the same movie goers that would see something like Star Wars, Avatar, and other SciFi type films. While I can't validate this rumor I originally heard that what really killed the first pitch from being made was its projected budget for production. And that studios were interested and even liked the idea but basically felt it was too much of a gamble for a concepts that was only proven in the world of gaming, so maybe Forward Unto Dawn will add enough to their resume to put them over the top.

But there already was a Halo movie...and it even had tits in it!!

I purchased the new Halo book called The Thursday War last night. I have not started reading but it continues to tell the story of the squad of select soldiers selected for highly focused and secret mission to cause dysfunction, and maybe even civil war on the home world and empire of the Elites and thereby give humanity time to rebuild and regroup in case of another conflict. This is a direct connection to the campaign of Halo 4 and I'm guessing that reading it will clarify some of the evens of campaign.

There is Amazon summary:

Welcome to humanity?s new war: silent, high stakes, and unseen. This is a life-or-death mission for ONI?s black-ops team, Kilo-Five, which is tasked with preventing the ruthless Elites, once the military leaders of the Covenant, from regrouping and threatening humankind again. What began as a routine dirty-tricks operation―keeping the Elites busy with their own insurrection―turns into a desperate bid to extract one member of Kilo-Five from the seething heart of an alien civil war. But troubles never come singly for Kilo-Five. Colonial terrorism is once again surfacing on one of the worlds that survived the war against the Covenant, and the man behind it is much more than just a name to Spartan-010. Meanwhile, the treasure trove of Forerunner technology recovered from the shield world of Onyx is being put to work while a kidnapped Elite plots vengeance on the humans he fears will bring his people to the brink of destruction.

have you read glasslands yet, cause it's a direct sequel to that...also from what I understand Cryptum and Primoridum will have more of a connection to the campaign than Glasslands or Thursday War, since it deals with forerunners, etc..

IMO the Kilo-Five trilogy (glasslands, thursday war) will connect with H4 in why we are still fighting covenant , but that's just a side story to what will be the ending of the game, this mysterious force

Yeah, I read Glasslands and the previous two books in the Forerunners Saga. I thought they were all great but that some of the younger audiances may be surprised at the focus given to the culture, history, and political pressure that are of importance in the Forerunner books. I think some needing continuous action may be let down there. I was also thinking that if you read both Glassland and Thursday War they were saying you would be crossing paths, more indirectly, with the event and missions found in the books while on some of the missions in the campaign. In other words if you reads them you will know why certain things are the way they are. The example being the rouge faction of zelous Elites who are devoted to their religious beliefs.

SPOILER *MAYBE* :)

I too am thinking that the Diadact will play an important role. I'm just not sure if it will be a good, bad, or nutral character. I'm thinking the primordia, or one like him, will make an appearance as well. Also, I want to go on record with this prediction: Cortana is slipping into rampancy and this is coming to a head as 117 and his faithful AI is tasked with exploring and surviving Requieum. Requieum is filled with and actually is a planet sized forerunner construct. If you think back to the forerunner books they talked about a device(can't think of its name) but this device could take the complete mental, emotional, genetic, personality and memories of the person or many persons and transfer them into a construct, much like 343 guilty spark. I think they will use this technology or something like it to save Cortana. Possibly even improving her abilities. I'm not sure if that means they give her a biologic body or a construct form like guility spark but I think it will be forerunner technology that Master Chief will use to save her.

I have waited to pre-order because I wanted to be able to walk in a get in the night of (12:00am) but I'm starting to wonder if this is a mistake. I know I want the Limited and I'm stating to see that it is currently unavailable now on Amazon and gamestop but still able to "add to chart" on Walmart.
