Half the distance to the goal

I would like to offer a full and utter retraction of my previous post in regards to the Space Time Continuum. Apparently Smitty is more powerful than I thought, because according to the front page latest forum topics I am actually posting 1 hour in the future.

Yes, I am about ready to let this thread die.

There seems to be agreement that there are only three things that can happen when you run a play inside your own five yard line and two of them are bad.

However, there is still some more fun to be had. There were multiple posts depicting what Smithlabs might look like. Since the subject has been broached I'll add a few links to show the real Smithlabs in action.

This is a set of rock climbing on Mt Lemmon last weekend. I am Ed in these pictures. The site, however, is Ben's.

The is a canyoneering trip through Salome Jug Canyon near Phoenix. OK, this set isn't quite as macho. I am the one in the black Ohio State Jersey. The window shade is my wife's, not mine. The raft was loads of fun and I don't regret bringing it. In many ways, the raft is a metaphor for my life. Sometimes it is more fun to raft through knee deep water and enjoy the ride...

Still a geek but really enjoying the ride,

Yeah, that's me jumping in the water.

that reminds me of the seinfeld episode where george "jumped" over the pothole
"Jumping" over potholes kind of sums up my trip to Salome Jugs. If you liked that picture you should check out the entire set. There is one where I am doing my best superman impression complete with the raft tied around my neck like a cape and another one where I am rafting through a pool and everybody else is just walking in knee deep water. As I said, this wasn't my most macho outing. A couple of years ago I did a Rim-Rim-Rim day hike in the grand canyon. That was a grueling 50 mile hike with over 13,000' of elevation gain. I did that trip in around 20 hours. That trip was macho. This trip was just good clean fun. It was about a three mile round trip with little elvation gain and only a 30' rappal down the very last waterfall. Yeah the water is a little green but you take what you get in Arizona. Besides, I trust that water a lot more than the Old-N-Dingy or the continual pool of scum at the bottom of Grigg's Dam.

Another hole in the space time continium has been plugged. I have to boost my post count by spreading my idocracy across several different threads..

That was 7 pages of pure pleasure. I cannot thank all of you for making the last 15 min absolutly hysterical. The retorts were spectacular. Smitty, you're the man.

BTW, what was that you were on, like a 5.6 or 7?
